The young woman in her 20's looked over to Vin as he slowly sat up. "You-" She gnashed her teeth at him and rushed over to him with her pointing finger.
"Hadn't I told you to stay away from her? Why are you always near her? If you haven't, then this wouldn't have happened to her. She-she would've..."
Just as Vin heard those words, it was as if the world had fallen before him. Countless thunderbolts fell on his mind and thoughts; his hand started to tremble as tears started to fall from his eyes.
"And now she can't even receive compensation for it, to continue her treatment. At this rate she-"
"Hey boy, tell her, didn't you cross the pedestrian crossing on red light? Had you wanted to die? Why would you do it under my truck?" The middle-aged man was the fatty truck driver.
