"What are you two doing?"
Resting both hands on her waist with her massive chest in bikini, Aunt Raven gallantly stood on a rock, gazing at them.
"Nothing."
To his side, Max saw Kat's elder sister, Elena, curl her lips into a light smile.
Her expression remained bright, seemingly unfazed by Raven's sudden, imposing appearance. She leaned back on her elbows, the movement fluid and relaxed.
"We were just discussing the tides." Elena added smoothly, her voice carrying a playful lilt
"What about you, what are you doing here?"
Surprisingly she questioned back, watching his Aunt intently.
"Well, quite the question. I was just here to check things out."
"Oh really?" Kat's elder sister smiled and glanced at Max, who raised his brows, sensing her attention had shifted entirely to him.
He felt a sudden spike of heat in his chest, caught in the crossfire of their heavy gazes.
