'A blackout?'
Deep silence filled the room as it was blanketed in complete darkness. Too sudden and unexpected, Max's grip on the controller tightened in alert, his futile attempt to see through the darkness leading to a tiny ray of light through the curtain.
'She has a bind placed before the curtains?'
Realizing why there was no source of light despite it being daytime outside, Max was about to stand up when he felt two soft palms carefully slither around his arm.
Before he could react, two squishy soft but firm feelings pressed against his arm.
"I'm scared of the dark."
Talia's coy voice sounded next, leaving Max a little stunned.
Sensing his will to stand collapse before he could muster it, Max savored the softness of her bosom before responding. Not with words but a comforting hand that patted her other shoulder. Holding her still like he was trying to protect her from a monster in the dark.
The dice had been thrown.
