Upon finding a less populated hallway, Max led her to the side. There was silence between them for a moment before his voice seemed to bring her back to reality.
"Humm. I've come to realize we didn't start on the right foot." He paused and stared into her eyes, catching the nervous glint within.
Sophia nodded with a shake of her head, shyly avoiding his gaze.
"Do you want to hang out?" He asked, slipping out his phone.
'Is this a prank?'
Sophia thought, summoning the courage to look him in the eyes but spotted no funny glint within them.
Was Max really asking her out? She thought. Her heart was thrown into complete turmoil.
"Yes." She let the word slip, shaking her head in acceptance of his proposal.
"Thanks. Monday, dinner night?"
Max handed his phone to her, revealing a rare smile.
Sophia flushed, catching a glimpse of it, and almost fumbled to type in her digits.
"Bye." With that, they parted ways. A date set for when they would fully reunite.
