It is attached with an upgraded guardhouse and most important a moat that surrounds the outer rung curtain walls. Its gates now have a portcullis made of steel, one on front entrance and one at the back creating a killing field in between where defenders may drop boiling oil or rocks to enemies below, it also has slit windows that couldn't be accessed outside except for the defenders inside. To poke spears or shoot arrows at enemies. The actual door is made of wood-steel.
