"Kiera my dear, it is okay to feel this way, overwhelmed and inadequate and even to cry," he assured her.

"But gramps, I want to hold on to your legacy and make you proud."

"Oh my," her grandfather's voice softened as he reached up and wiped the tears away from her eyes.

"My jewel you are not inadequate. Yes, the pressures and expectations may be much but you know all I want from you."

"Do I?" Kiera sniffled and pouted at him.

"Yes," he said with a nod.

"You do. You know all I want from you is for you to be happy. If the company goes down, then so be it."

"It won't," she retorted sharply.

"I won't let it happen. Not on my watch, gramps. Your legacy shall remain."

"I know it won't because I have such an outstanding daughter. You rose above it all, Kii. You did well and I am proud."

A small smile spread on her lips as she bit back the urge to cry.
