Chapter 211 - CHAPTER 211

Uchiha Kiyo's left eye's pupil name is Biejin.

Cough cough... In truth, there is no official name, but the pupil techniques are usually named by their users based on their functions.

Controlling time, Biejin's ability, is more inclined toward reversing time. While it can also accelerate time, its primary strength lies in reversing time.

This technique allows the user to rewind time, altering fate itself. It's no wonder the technique is referred to as the "Rule of Fate."

Earlier, Uchiha had experienced the scene of the Uchiha clan's massacre through his left eye, a direct application of this pupil technique. It allowed him to capture the remnants of time and reconstruct the past scene.

The longer the duration of the rewind, the greater the scope involved, and the more chakra is drained.

"Wait…"

At that moment, Uchiha Kiyo's kaleidoscope Sharingan had faded, returning to its normal state.

"What?"

Uchiha Kiyo sensed a familiar presence.

It wasn't chakra, as chakra's signature changes with time and training. This aura was something different—cold and foreboding.

Orochimaru?

What is he doing here?

In the distance, a figure emerged. It didn't look exactly like Orochimaru, but the oppressive, serpentine presence that emanated from him was unmistakably Orochimaru's.

"A clone?"

Uchiha Kiyo thought briefly. Given Orochimaru's abilities, it seemed possible that he could develop a long-lasting clone technique, but he wasn't sure how it compared to his own clone technique.

As Uchiha Kiyo observed, the Orochimaru-like figure moved more than ten meters away.

"Orochimaru?" Kiyo called out, his voice tinged with surprise.

Orochimaru looked taken aback.

"It seems I've been recognized."

Orochimaru had sensed subtle disturbances in the air that others wouldn't have noticed, but for someone who studied the Sharingan as intently as he did, it was impossible to ignore.

"Uchiha Itachi? Or perhaps another Uchiha?"

Orochimaru, far more perceptive than Obito, wasn't entirely surprised by the presence of another Uchiha survivor. The Uchiha massacre wasn't a complete eradication; it was always possible there were others left behind.

Uchiha Kiyo narrowed his eyes, perplexed by Orochimaru's behavior.

This Orochimaru didn't have any direct connection to him, and he wasn't a former teacher like in other timelines. It couldn't be a good thing, not at all.

The mention of him being "Uchiha Itachi or another Uchiha" set Uchiha Kiyo on edge.

How did he know I used my pupil technique?

The other Orochimaru must have been a distance away, yet he was able to detect the use of the pupil technique. Such an ability wasn't present in the original timeline.

"Damn, it's no wonder Orochimaru turned out the way he did. He's obsessed with the Sharingan."

Though inwardly irritated, Uchiha Kiyo maintained an outward calm, not admitting anything.

Orochimaru continued, speaking as if he'd been pondering Kiyo's identity for some time. "You must be one of the key players from the battle in the Land of Fire two days ago. I visited the battlefield, and I could tell both sides had traces of Sharingan users. One of them was from Akatsuki, and the other... was you."

Uchiha Kiyo sighed inwardly. Orochimaru's obsession with the Sharingan was already well known, and here he was, still focusing on it. Kiyo suspected that Orochimaru could identify his presence from just the residual chakra.

No wonder Orochimaru's research later led him nowhere. He wasted all his energy chasing after it.

"So why did you come to me?" Kiyo demanded coldly, his eyes narrowing.

A faint smirk appeared on Orochimaru's face. "Ah, I see. A misunderstanding. I'm just a clone, I don't have any combat abilities, and I mean you no harm. I've seen the aftermath of that battle and I don't think I could defeat you easily."

Orochimaru seemed earnest enough, speaking with surprising clarity.

"But if you're interested in Sharingan, I already have an objective. I'm nearly there."

Uchiha Kiyo remained skeptical, thinking about Orochimaru's intentions. He had no connection to this version of Orochimaru, but given his history, nothing good could come of this encounter.

"Are you trying to cooperate with me?" Kiyo pondered out loud.

Orochimaru's gaze remained fixed on Kiyo, a flicker of something strange in his eyes. "Yes... Cooperation, perhaps?"

Kiyo analyzed Orochimaru's words carefully, trying to understand what he was after. The mention of cooperation wasn't too surprising, but it could also mean something else entirely. Was Orochimaru seeking revenge? Did he want to destroy Konoha?

Kiyo continued to assess Orochimaru's intentions, paying close attention to his demeanor and body language.

Orochimaru, undeterred, licked his lips and continued, "I don't know your name, though."

"Uchiha Kiyo," Kiyo answered, giving a false name, keeping his true identity concealed.

"Uchiha Kiyo... You saw the devastation of the Uchiha clan. What do you think of this place?" Orochimaru asked, his tone deceptively casual.

"They'll pay for it," Kiyo replied, his voice colder than usual.

Orochimaru nodded, as if sensing something deeper beneath Kiyo's words. "It seems we share similar goals. My arms were sealed by the village as well, and we both wish for something beyond what this world offers."

Kiyo was no longer surprised at Orochimaru's manipulative tactics. "So, cooperation, then? What kind of cooperation?"

"I'm interested in the methods you have for dealing with Konoha. I assume that's why you're here."

Kiyo didn't shy away from his response, keeping his poker face intact. "What would you want in exchange for that?"

Orochimaru's expression turned calculating, and his words were tinged with a mix of curiosity and hidden ambition. "What's your price?"

"I'd like cloning techniques, tissue culture research, and data on soul-related experiments," Kiyo replied, his tone neutral, though the request itself was anything but.

Orochimaru's eyes widened, his surprise showing briefly before his composed demeanor returned. "Are you sure about that? These are the core techniques that I have studied extensively."

Kiyo paid no heed to Orochimaru's shock, knowing that Orochimaru valued these techniques above all else. Despite their significance, they weren't easy to obtain, and Kiyo wasn't expecting to simply walk away with them.

After a long pause, Orochimaru spoke again, "I'm willing to consider it. But you'll need to offer something of equal value in return."

Kiyo remained calm, unbothered by Orochimaru's bargaining.

"The complete theory and cultivation method of the Bloodline Limit," Kiyo proposed.

Orochimaru's pupils dilated. The complete theory of the Bloodline Limit?

Hearing this, Orochimaru seemed both intrigued and cautious. "And what else?"

Kiyo smirked inwardly, already preparing to negotiate further. If this is enough, the rest can follow.

Orochimaru hesitated, clearly processing the value of the offer. Bloodline Limits were something Orochimaru had always been fascinated by, but obtaining the full theoretical framework was a game-changer.

"At most, a fair exchange," Orochimaru agreed after a long pause.

Despite his measured tone, Orochimaru was clearly interested in Kiyo's offer, and this made Kiyo all the more confident in his own position.

They stood amidst the ruins of the Uchiha clan, the site of a massacre that had long ago been forgotten by most. It was the perfect place for a meeting of this nature—quiet, desolate, and full of hidden possibilities.

"We'll start with the Sharingan information," Kiyo said, preparing to begin the trade.

Orochimaru, clearly intrigued, replied, "Let's begin then."

And thus, the deal between Uchiha Kiyo and Orochimaru began.
