Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Unlocking the Ancient Bloodline

Editor:QUINN TALEN

Renzo's eyes scanned the Bloodline options, weighing the benefits of each. With 10040 Skill Points available, he had more than enough to purchase any of the Ancient Bloodlines.

After a moment's consideration, he decided to purchase the Ancient Lightning Elemental Bloodline. He confirmed the purchase, and 10000 Skill Points were deducted from his account.

"Bloodline Purchase Successful," ECHO announced, its digital voice echoing in Renzo's mind. "You have begun your evolution with the Ancient Lightning Elemental Bloodline."

Evolution in progress...

Renzo felt a surge of energy and pain as the Bloodline's evolution took place. His body began to glow with a faint blue light, illuminating the darkened space around him.

Time for evolution: 2d 3h

_System upgrade in progress..._

Renzo's vision began to blur, and he felt his consciousness slipping away. The pain was too intense.

"Ugggh..." Renzo groaned, his voice barely audible.

He fell to the ground, unconscious, as the evolution process continued to reshape his body.

Meanwhile, in the town hall of Elysium's Reach, the Council of Elders gathered for an emergency meeting.

"Are we really going to send the youngsters into the Moon Goddess' Ancient Ruins?" asked Councilor Thorne, his voice laced with concern.

"We have no choice," replied Councilor Elara, her eyes grave. "The ruins hold the key to unlocking the secrets of the ancient magic. And with the darkness gathering, we need all the help we can get."

"But the ruins are treacherous," protested Councilor Thorne. "We can't just send our children in there without proper training and equipment."

"I agree," said Councilor Elara. "But we have no other option. The Moon Goddess' Ancient Ruins hold the key to our survival."

The Council of Elders nodded in agreement, their faces set with determination.

As the meeting concluded, the Council members dispersed, each lost in their own thoughts about the challenges ahead.

Councillor Thorne stepped up to the podium, surveying the crowd of young faces before him.

"Young explorers of Elysium's Reach," he began, his voice solemn. "The time has come for us to address the growing concern about the Moon Goddess' Ancient Ruins."

He paused, his eyes scanning the room.

"As you may know, the ruins hold secrets of our ancient magic, and with the darkness gathering, we need all the help we can get. However, the ruins are treacherous, and we cannot send you in unprepared."

Councillor Thorne took a deep breath.

"Therefore, we are announcing a special training program for those who wish to explore the ruins. The program will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the dangers within."

He smiled, his eyes gleaming with determination.

"We believe in you, young explorers. We believe that together, we can unlock the secrets of the Moon Goddess' Ancient Ruins and save our town from the gathering darkness."

The room erupted in a mixture of cheers and nervous murmurs as the young explorers contemplated the challenge ahead.

As the young explorers of Elysium's Reach buzzed with excitement and nerves, a figure watched from the shadows. His name was Kael, a ruthless and cunning mercenary with a reputation for getting the job done, no matter the cost.

Kael's eyes narrowed as he listened to Councillor Thorne's announcement. He had been tracking a valuable target, and he had a feeling that the Moon Goddess' Ancient Ruins might hold the key to finding it.

Without hesitation, Kael stepped forward, joining the group of young explorers gathered before Councillor Thorne.

"I'm in," Kael said, his voice low and confident. "I'll help you explore the ruins."

Councillor Thorne's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at Kael, but he said nothing. Instead, he nodded and continued to address the group.

"Very well, young explorers," Councillor Thorne said. "You will depart for the Moon Goddess' Ancient Ruins in 3 days. Be prepared for the challenges that lie ahead."

And with that, the group dispersed, Kael's eyes locked with determination to get the treasure.
