The desert night stretched endlessly around Adrian and Nyxaris, the stars like silver wounds in a black canvas. They moved silently across the dunes, the tension of their earlier battle still clinging to the air like mist.
Not far from their path, a campfire flickered against the darkness. Two figures sat near the campfire deep in thought. Adrien approacged them noticing their somber mood. Adrien avoided them but Fenrik noticed his presence. "Where did you go? Fenrik asked Adrien. " Just to hunt some beasts." Adrien had already told Fenrik about his system prior to Galvir's visit so he knew why the boy went out to hunt. He eyed the suspicious presence beside him but sensing no hostility from it, he dismissed Adrien.
Adrien entered the tent provided by Galvir for Adrien and Fenrik and layed on the comfortable sleeping bags and dozed off due to exhaustion from his battle. Nyx, as nicknamed by Adrien on the way back, settled behind adrien in seemingly slumber.
A stealthy figure snuck out of Galvir's tent and snuck it's way to Adrien's tent. The figure entered, not noticing the pair of crimson eyes studying it's every move. It pulled out a thin needle, coated in a green liquid which gave of an ominous aura. She was about to plunge it into Adrien's neck when a voice spoke in her head, "I would advise against your hostiliy at my master, child of nature."
