Rael recognized the figure immediately.
It was Kareth.
However, he was severely malnourished. Not only that, his hair and beard were extremely long.
It didn't take Rael long to figure out that a lot of time had passed for him.
And clearly, Lucien was the one responsible.
"Hello, father," Lucien said with a curt bow. "I hope you've been doing well on the other side."
Kareth's eyes were hollow.
Rather, he seemed completely out of it.
But from the slight twitching of his fingers, Rael knew that he was listening.
"Father, what if I told you that I have never truly wished to become the Hollow King? Would you still be proud of me? Would you—"
"I was going to listen to you blabber your bullshit, but I feel like I have to step in here," Rael cut in with a sigh. "I'd say this is a family quarrel, but you're not really family, are you?"
With those words, Rael walked past Lucien and stopped in front of Kareth.
He was wayyy too out of it.
