The two of them ate the pizza in silence, though the occasional crunch of the perfect crust that Rael had so handsomely cooked made him chuckle slightly.
"What's so funny?" she asked.
"Ah. It's nothing. I'm just feeling a little nostalgic," Rael replied, taking a bite out of another slice.
"Nostalgic... Yeah. I always feel nostalgic. The older you get, the more you begin to filter the fun and happy memories as opposed to the plain ones."
At her words, Rael pointed his pizza slice at her.
"Care to share any happy memories?"
She thought about it for a moment, then shrugged.
"I remember I once climbed a hill when I was younger. There was actually a treasure chest on that hill left behind by my father's father. Apparently, my father had been looking for it when he was younger, but he never found it."
Rael raised a brow.
"How'd you find it?"
"I was curious how the dirt tasted."
"..."
"You're kidding, right?"
Anastasia giggled.
