Chapter 26 - Under the Blood Moon

The crimson moonlight gleamed off the black armor of the warriors rising from the shadows. Their eyes were icy and hollow—yet deadly.

Yan Xi gripped his sword tightly. This was not just a battle; it was a test.

"Everyone, stay sharp!" Bai Xuan's voice was steady as he analyzed the situation. "These creatures aren't ordinary enemies. Their souls are still chained!"

Chained souls… This was a realm where even the dead could not escape.

The first strike came from Mo Ye. He vanished into the darkness, only to reappear behind the enemies in an instant. His black dagger flashed toward a warrior's throat—but—

A steel-like hand caught it midair.

"What—?" Mo Ye's eyes widened. The enemy could feel him.

BAM!

A dark force sent Mo Ye hurtling backward, blood trailing in the air before he crashed onto the ground.

"They are not weak!" Ren Yue's voice echoed. "We need a new strategy!"

But the enemy did not wait. The shadows exploded, and black figures charged at them with terrifying speed.

"Yan Xi! Behind you!"

Yan Xi spun around, instinctively swinging his blade. The Flame Seal ignited, forcing the enemy back. But in the next moment, three more warriors lunged at him.

Amidst the chaotic battle, his breath ragged, Yan Xi had only one thought—

Where is Ling Yue?

And then—

A blood-red light pierced the sky.

The entire battlefield trembled.

Every enemy dropped to their knees.

And then, a cold voice echoed through the air:

"Why have you come here?"

Yan Xi's eyes widened as he looked at the figure before him.

This…

Was it Ling Yue?

But her eyes—they were no longer the same.
