Yun Zhi felt the cold metal chains tighten around his wrists. He locked eyes with Mo Lian and smirked.
"If you're really this captivated by me, why the chains? Can't we have a more civilized conversation?"
Mo Lian tilted her head slightly. Her silver eyes shimmered.
"I can't trust you, Yun Zhi. You're too... dangerous."
Yun Zhi found that amusing. "Thank you for the compliment."
Mo Lian slowly raised her hand and traced a finger along his neck.
"Don't be so arrogant. Your charm won't always work."
But at that moment, Yun Zhi met her gaze—deep, hypnotic, and unreadable.
Did she think she could play this game?
Then Yun Zhi would invite her to a real game.
"You've been watching me for a long time, haven't you?" he whispered. "You can't take your eyes off me. Tell me what it is that fascinates you."
Mo Lian's expression froze for a split second.
Despite the chains, Yun Zhi leaned in slightly, his lips barely moving.
"You always want what you can never have."
Mo Lian's fingers trembled slightly.
But she quickly regained her composure and smirked.
"You're clever, Yun Zhi. But is your cleverness enough to escape this prison?"
And suddenly, her silver eyes shone even brighter.
Something was changing.
Was Yun Zhi truly in danger this time?
