Seeing the troubled look on Ryan's face, Jeff realized that the classrooms were off-limits to non-students. To avoid causing him any more trouble, Jeff spoke up.
"That's fine, we'll just wander around while we wait for you guys," Jeff replied, deciding it was better not to push the issue.
Since his main purpose for now was to explore or just have a look around, he felt it would be a lot more exciting to wander around the school than just tagging along with Glen and Ryan to look for Glen's girlfriend.
It would be absolutely boring and less adventurous.
"Are you sure?" Ryan asked, clearly surprised by Jeff's suggestion.
"Yes, we're sure, right Mark?" Jeff said, nudging at Mark, who seems to be looking for something.
"Yeah, right, we're good," Mark replied, giving a thumb-up as if he were used to this kind of thing.
Ryan fell silent for a moment, glancing back and forth between the two. Finally, he nodded, since he really had no real power to break the rules of the school.
