Third Person's POV.
On Monday morning, the apartment was filled with the clean scent of fresh coffee and expensive cologne. Gemini was leaning casually against the door frame, watching Percy get ready. Percy looked impossibly sharp in a tailored charcoal suit, meticulously fastening his cufflinks.
"Ready to head out?" Gemini asked with a smile.
Percy paused, catching Gemini's eye in the hallway mirror. He walked straight toward him, stopping close enough to break the casual distance.
"Actually, Bunny, I have a sudden, last-minute change of plans," Percy said, his voice low and persuasive. He reached out and gently tucked a strand of hair behind Gemini's ear. "I want you to come to the office with me."
Gemini's eyes went wide. "What? No, Percy, you can't be serious! This is your first official day as CEO! You need to be focused and look powerful—not bringing me along with you!"
Percy chuckled, a rich, warm sound that usually signaled he was about to get his way.
"Precisely. It is my first day as CEO, and that's exactly why I want you there." He framed Gemini's face with his hands. "Don't you think I deserve a little moral support on my big, scary day in a new environment?"
Gemini hesitated, trying to find a solid argument against Percy's charming logic. "But won't you be busy? Board meetings? You need uninterrupted work time..."
Percy shook his head. "Bunny, I've worked at Aethel since it was just me, Alexis, and a few others. This isn't a new job, it's just a new title. Today is all about the introduction—I'm officially meeting the staff as the CEO. It's not a big deal, I promise. Please, come with me." He leaned in, his lips just brushing Gemini's. "I'll honestly feel better if you're there."
Gemini sighed, the last of his resistance crumbling under the combined weight of Percy's determined plea and his own inability to refuse him.
"Fine. You win. I'm only coming because I'm curious about your workplace."
He darted back to the closet and quickly returned, transformed from cozy house wear to casual but professional wear. He wore tailored black pants, a crisp white button-down shirt tucked in neatly, a light black coat, and a surprisingly effective pair of clean white sneakers, adding a touch of youthful charm to the serious ensemble.
"You look... I'm tempted to stay home," Percy murmured, his eyes lingering on the clean lines of the outfit, the playful footwear a welcome break from corporate stiffness. Gemini blushed as Percy took his hand and led him toward the door.
Percy's driver was already waiting, and soon they were gliding through the city. Gemini had always pictured Aethel Design as a successful startup—cool, creative, and maybe occupying a trendy loft space.
He was dead wrong.
When the car finally pulled up, Gemini had to stop himself from gaping. This wasn't a trendy loft; this was a monument. The building was a sleek monolith of glass and polished steel, towering over its neighbors—its size alone screamed stratospheric wealth and established power.
"I thought you said this was a small architecture firm," Gemini whispered, tilting his head back to take in the sheer verticality.
"We are," Percy replied, his voice laced with amusement as he squeezed Gemini's hand. "We just design the world's most expensive yachts, skyscrapers, and estates, Bunny. Welcome to Aethel Designs."
Inside, the executive floor was silent, luxurious, and massive—all marble, natural wood, and sunlight pouring through floor-to-ceiling windows. Percy's new office was breathtaking, spanning the entire corner of the building and offering an overwhelming view of the city.
They had barely settled into the plush seating when Alexis swept in, her demeanor entirely professional, though she offered Gemini a quick, warm nod.
"Time for the reintroduction, CEO," Alexis announced. She was smiling at Percy when she spotted Gemini across the room. "Oh! Hi, sweetie! I need to borrow him for a while. Is that okay with you?"
Gemini offered a shy wave. "Hi, Lex. Of course. Go ahead."
"Great! They're waiting for you in the main conference room. Try to be charming and not intimidating, Percy."
"I'm always charming," Percy countered dryly. He leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to Gemini's lips. "Don't worry, I'll be back soon. Feel free to read a magazine, explore the building. I'll be back in fifteen minutes."
The introduction ceremony didn't last long, proving Percy right—it was mostly formality. When he returned, Percy looked lighter, shedding the executive stiffness the moment the door closed behind him.
"How did it go?" Gemini asked, looking up from a futuristic architectural digest.
Percy loosened his tie, though he didn't remove it. "It was great. A bit stuffy, but the board's support was obvious, and the staff seemed genuinely excited. Alexis handled the Q&A brilliantly." He smiled, walking over to the window, the entire city laid out below him. "Now, about another important business matter..."
He turned back, his gaze landing on Gemini. "We didn't eat breakfast this morning, and it's unacceptable to start my reign as CEO on an empty stomach. We're going to get a proper meal. Come on."
They left the large office and were driven to a quiet, elegant café near the financial district. Over warm pastries and strong coffee, the corporate drama of the morning melted away.
After a satisfying meal, Percy became focused again. "Alright, Bunny. Now I have to go back and actually start working. My afternoon is booked with meetings. I'm taking you home, then heading back."
"Go on," Gemini said, squeezing his hand as they got into the car. "Do your thing. I'll see you later."
Percy smiled, the corner of his mouth tilting up with anticipation. "Deal. See you at home later."
