Chapter 312 - Chapter 312: Uchiha Forbidden Technique!

The rapid spread of the Sacred Tree's roots left everyone no time to focus on Madara.

Madara leapt nimbly between the rising, writhing vines, his eyes burning with madness as he shouted, "Hashirama! It won't be long before all the shinobi you care about are dead! Their chakra will return to the Divine Tree, and once more, the world you never got to see… will soon be real! Hahahaha!"

Hashirama roared in fury, "Madara, what do you mean by that?!"

Madara smirked darkly, pointing mid-air toward Naruto. "You should be asking that yellow-haired brat over there!"

Naruto was already in motion, hurling Shadow Clones across the battlefield. Each clone formed Rasenshuriken and other Wind Style jutsu to destroy the incoming vines.

"Everyone, don't let up! Do everything you can to stop those vines! Don't let them reach the other shinobi — if they get caught, they'll die!"

He turned to the Nara strategist, shouting, "Uncle Shikaku! Get everyone to retreat now — move the support forces away from this zone!"

Sasuke, encased in his Perfect Susanoo, drew a Chakra Blade and sliced cleanly through several massive vines. He then bent the ethereal bow formed from the Susanoo's armor and launched a blazing arrow infused with Amaterasu, targeting Obito, who floated mid-air with his hands in a seal.

Obito didn't even glance at the incoming arrow. Behind him, a black Truth-Seeking Orb moved into place, morphing into a shield. With a metallic clang, the arrow was deflected with ease.

"Tch," Sasuke clicked his tongue in irritation.

Naruto shouted across the battlefield, "Sasuke! Quit trying to act cool — dismiss Susanoo! It's a huge target, and the vines will drain your chakra faster!"

Tobirama stood firm as he observed the spreading vines and the towering form of the Divine Tree. His expression darkened. "What in the world is this thing…?"

Minato's brow furrowed. "Whatever it is, it's not something good."

Tobirama studied the movements carefully. Dozens of Naruto's clones surged forward, only to be ensnared by the vines. Once caught, the clones rapidly thinned out, their forms becoming faint before popping into nothingness — poof. The wood was absorbing their chakra.

Tobirama clenched his jaw. So that was it — the Divine Tree's tendrils absorbed chakra on contact. No wonder Naruto was trying to stop it from breaching the rear guard. He was protecting the rest of the Allied Shinobi Forces.

"Brother! Use your Wood Style to counter them! We can't let those vines pass through our defenses!"

Hashirama nodded, having come to the same conclusion. He slammed his palms together. "Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence!"

A rumbling echoed beneath the earth as colossal trees erupted from the ground, charging toward the Divine Tree's writhing roots.

Tobirama quickly formed a hand seal. "Flying Thunder God Technique!"

In a blink, he teleported the Five Kage behind the front lines.

"You're the command center of this army — your safety is priority! Don't stray too far from me! Hiruzen, go!"

The Third Hokage, revived via Edo Tensei, nodded with a grim smile. "I'm already dead, so I'll do the dirty work!"

He charged forward, extending the Adamantine Staff from his summon, Enma, and slashed through vines with the precision of a veteran.

Gaara hovered in mid-air on a platform of sand, using his chakra to summon a Sandstorm Barrier that blocked the advancing roots.

Ōnoki floated beside him, forming a seal. "Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"

A cube of light engulfed a cluster of vines, disintegrating them instantly.

Terumi Mei called out, "Lava Style: Acidic Mud Shower!" spraying highly corrosive lava over the vines, causing them to sizzle and burn away.

Tsunade and Jiraiya launched a joint jutsu — Jiraiya sprayed oil using the Toad Flame Bomb technique, and Tsunade followed up with Fire Release: Flame Bomb, lighting the vines ablaze in a coordinated inferno.

On the ground, the Fourth Raikage growled, frustrated at being limited in long-range options.

"Damn it!"

He punched the ground in anger, then grabbed a boulder and infused it with Lightning Release. With a grunt, he hurled it like a cannonball, smashing through an advancing root.

Crack!

"Hmph… It works!"

With newfound purpose, Raikage continued picking up debris and hurling electrified boulders at the enemy.

Farther away, Killer Bee watched the battle from a distant cliff. Seeing his brother in action, he felt a surge of adrenaline.

"Yo, Naruto! Let's do this! I'm ready to fight!"

But Naruto quickly cut him off. "Bee-senpai, you don't know Sage Mode. Stay back! If you get too close, the tree will drain you dry!"

Even so, the gigantic form of the Divine Tree towering in the distance changed Bee's mind. He couldn't sit back and do nothing.

"Yo, Hachibi! Let's go!"

Gyūki, the Eight Tails, responded, "Alright, partner. Let's wreck this thing!"

In the next instant, Bee transformed into his full-tailed beast form. He formed a Tailed Beast Ball and launched it high into the sky like an anti-air cannon.

"Let's go, Gyūki!"

BOOM!

The explosive force ripped apart an entire section of the roots.

"Haha! It's working, Gyūki!"

Above them, Obito narrowed his eyes and silently poured more chakra into the Divine Tree. Its instincts as a sentient being began to awaken further. Its thirst for chakra intensified, its tendrils now stretching out even more wildly.

Unbeknownst to most, Obito had refined his control over the tree. Just as in the past life Naruto remembered, the Divine Tree sought chakra on an instinctual level — and it would not stop.

Naruto's eyes narrowed. Good… that's what I want.

Letting the tree absorb chakra was part of the plan. If Obito pushed the Divine Tree into its final evolution, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki — the true puppet master behind this war — would finally appear.

He needed that moment.

Naruto wasn't just fighting. He was testing something.

He wanted to see if the Sage of Six Paths would intervene — again.

Because if that old man could reincarnate Naruto, then why didn't he entrust him with the full power of the Yin-Yang Seal from the start?

It didn't make sense.

So, Naruto concluded: the Sage had a contingency.

And Naruto needed Kaguya to appear to confirm it.

He placed his hand over his left forearm.

Back when he had defected from Konoha, Naruto had harvested Danzo Shimura's remains — not just his Sharingan, but his genetically altered arm embedded with multiple Sharingan.

Eight of them were now sealed into Naruto's own arm.

A failsafe.

A forbidden technique only the Uchiha dared whisper about.

He activated the chakra seal on his forearm, and one of the Sharingan glowed red.

"Kurama, we're going in!"

Kurama growled, "Bastard! That's the Divine Tree! You trying to get us both killed?!"

Naruto grinned. "Relax. I've activated a jutsu unique to the Uchiha — something like Izanagi, but worse. Just trust me!"

With that, he roared, "OBITO! HERE I COME!"

The full form of Kurama surged around him — cloaked in chakra, golden and massive.

Kurama opened his jaws, condensed a Tailed Beast Bomb, and launched it toward Obito.

Obito calmly summoned a Truth-Seeking Orb shield once again, and the blast deflected upward, exploding in the sky.

The explosion lit the battlefield in white light.

Obito sneered. "Naruto… if you want to die that badly, I'll oblige you."

He extended his hand — and the Divine Tree's tendrils surged toward Naruto.

Tobirama shouted, "Naruto! What are you doing?!"

The roots latched onto the massive Nine Tails cloak, as if blood-starved. They wrapped around Naruto's form — draining chakra violently.

Blue and silver chakra was ripped away like a river into the earth.

Naruto struggled, but grinned savagely. "Come on… Obito! LET'S FIGHT!"

The massive chakra form began to shrink under the drain.

Tobirama turned and barked, "Minato! Something's happening to your son! Teleport him back, now!"

Minato was about to form the seal when the Yin half of Kurama inside him interrupted. "Wait, Fourth! Naruto said not to teleport him!"

Minato hesitated. "What? What does Naruto mean…?"

Yin Kurama frowned. "I don't know. But my other half told me not to let you interfere."

Minato's fists clenched. He looked at his son — devoured by the tree — yet smiling.

"…Alright. I trust you, Naruto."
