Chapter 346 - Chapter 346: The Old Man Comes Online

With a sharp buzzing sound, Naruto disappeared in an instant, his body vanishing like a flash of the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Underground – atop a high cliff.

Yamato sat cross-legged on the rocky ground, his gaze fixed on the writhing mass of White Zetsu gathered below. His voice carried a note of frustration as he muttered,

"Are we really just going to sit here and keep watch like this?"

Kabuto adjusted his glasses, his sharp eyes reflecting the countless pale figures beneath them. "In the past, when both Black Zetsu and White Zetsu still existed, this army had a clear core to direct it. They could be restrained, stabilized, and used effectively. But now? With both Black Zetsu and White Zetsu having perished in the war, the order has collapsed.

If it weren't for Captain Yamato's Wood Style suppressing them, these creatures would have scattered and caused chaos by now."

Yamato let out a long sigh, scratching the back of his head. "Couldn't we just set up a strong barrier around them? Seal them off completely?"

Kabuto rolled his eyes, his tone sharp. "Do you ever think before speaking? If they were sealed inside a barrier and went on a rampage, the pressure would cause a collapse. They'd stampede each other to death, and the situation would spiral out of control."

Yamato frowned, conceding with a reluctant nod. "I suppose that makes sense..."

Before either could continue, a familiar voice called out from behind them.

"Hey! Captain Yamato! Kabuto! Long time no see!"

Both men turned at once.

"Naruto!" Yamato exclaimed.

"Naruto!" Kabuto echoed, his tone more respectful.

Naruto walked forward, his bright yet hardened expression carrying both warmth and authority. He gave them a nod before turning his gaze toward the cliffside abyss. Below, countless White Zetsu stretched like a sea of pale bodies, remnants of the Fourth Great Ninja War.

"Kabuto," Naruto began, his tone serious, "all of the White Zetsu are here, right?"

Kabuto pushed up his glasses and nodded. "As per your instructions, Yamato and I have gathered every last one we could find. They're all contained in this area."

Yamato's brows furrowed as he glanced between Naruto and the writhing army. "Naruto... what exactly are we doing keeping these things alive? It's risky. What's the point of maintaining them here?"

Naruto stepped closer, resting a firm hand on Yamato's shoulder. His blue eyes glowed faintly, filled with determination. "Captain Yamato, I know it's a burden, but please bear with me. These White Zetsu are going to serve a very important purpose."

Without further explanation, Naruto leapt from the cliff's edge. His cloak flared as he descended, weaving signs rapidly. Golden markings flared to life across the earth as he began sealing the White Zetsu one after another.

He worked swiftly—sealing techniques, chakra restraints, and finally, placing the Flying Thunder God markings onto each one.

According to the exact numbers provided earlier by Obito and Itachi, Naruto carefully sealed the required quantity of White Zetsu. Sweat ran down his forehead, but he pressed on until every single one was secured.

Moments later, he leapt back up the cliffside, landing lightly before Yamato and Kabuto.

Kabuto adjusted his glasses again, curiosity written across his face. "Naruto... you're going to use them as sacrifices again, aren't you? For Edo Tensei?"

Naruto nodded, wiping sweat from his brow. "That's right. This time, though, the scale is far greater. Sasuke wants to resurrect the entire Uchiha clan."

"WHAT?!" Yamato and Kabuto both shouted in unison, their voices echoing across the cliffside.

Yamato's face paled. "Naruto, does Lady Tsunade—does the Hokage—know about this?"

Naruto hesitated for a brief moment. Truthfully, Tsunade had no idea. If she did, she would have raised hell to stop it. But at this point, Naruto and Sasuke stood at the very top of the shinobi world. Together, they were unmatched.

Their decision was no longer something others could veto.

Naruto gave a small, almost mischievous smile. "I'll handle it, Captain Yamato. You don't need to worry about Hokage-sama for now. Leave this to me."

Yamato frowned deeply. Resurrecting the Uchiha clan was no small matter—how could something of this magnitude be decided without the Hokage's knowledge? It went against every instinct he had as a loyal Konoha shinobi.

Before Yamato could press further, Kabuto interjected smoothly, his voice laced with subtle manipulation. "Captain Yamato, you're worrying unnecessarily. Naruto isn't just anyone anymore. He's the hero who ended the Fourth Great Ninja War. The shinobi world recognizes him as its central pillar. If this is his decision, then there must be a reason. We should trust him."

Kabuto's words cut through Yamato's resistance. He thought of how many times Naruto had saved them all, how Tsunade herself often deferred to him now. Slowly, Yamato exhaled and nodded. "Fine. My duty is to keep these White Zetsu in check. I'll focus on that."

Naruto gave them both a grateful nod. "Thank you. I'll take it from here."

In the blink of an eye, his body vanished in a flash of golden light—the sound of the Flying Thunder God Technique buzzing through the air.

Naruto reappeared in an instant at Sasuke's side. Behind him, dozens of sealed White Zetsu were transported, their pale bodies frozen in containment.

Sasuke's dark eyes flickered with the crimson glow of the Sharingan as he observed. A rare smile tugged at his lips. "Just as I thought. You've been using these White Zetsu as sacrifices for Edo Tensei all along."

Naruto smirked. "You know me too well."

Orochimaru, who had been standing at the center of a massive sealing array, spread across the ground like a spider's web, looked up with a sly grin. "Good. You're just in time. Bring those sacrifices over—place each White Zetsu into the prepared talismans around the circle."

"No problem," Naruto replied.

Sasuke wasted no time. He created several Shadow Clones to help transport the bodies. Each clone carefully carried a White Zetsu into the sealing array, setting them into their designated places.

Among them, Sasuke personally oversaw two particular sacrifices, placing them with the utmost care. These two were destined to bring back the parents he had lost so long ago.

After the massacre, Itachi had taken Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan eyes to prevent them from falling into Danzo's hands. Mikoto, too, had been slain and preserved. Though Itachi once intended to bury them together, fate had twisted in such a way that their bodies could now serve as sacrifices for resurrection.

When the preparations were complete, Sasuke, Itachi, and Shisui all stood with their breaths held, their hearts pounding. After years of loss, they were moments away from seeing their clan, their family, once more.

Orochimaru clasped his hands into a seal. "Everyone, step back. The ceremony begins now."

The others obeyed, retreating a safe distance.

Orochimaru's voice rang out, sinister and commanding: "Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei!"

He slammed his palm onto the ground. The sealing array blazed with blinding white light. The White Zetsu let out ear-piercing screams as their bodies were consumed by the jutsu.

One by one, new figures began to emerge from the pale husks—the fallen Uchiha clan.

Corpses with hollow eyes were restored, their bodies standing stiff before life was breathed back into them.

And then—two familiar figures appeared at the center.

Sasuke's breath caught in his throat. He stumbled a step forward, his eyes trembling.

"...Father... Mother..."

Itachi clenched his fists tightly, guilt ripping through him as he recognized the parents he had murdered with his own hands.

Orochimaru moved his fingers into another seal, then pressed it before his lips. "Release!"

With a deep hum, the Uchiha resurrected by Edo Tensei opened their eyes, their minds and souls restored.

Uchiha Fugaku blinked, his gaze sweeping over the unfamiliar surroundings. His stern voice rose. "Where... is this? Orochimaru?!"

Beside him, Mikoto gasped, her hands clutching her chest. "Fugaku... aren't we supposed to be dead?"

Behind them, other Uchiha stirred as well. "Clan leader!" "Captain!"

Confusion rippled through them all.

The police force members muttered quickly:

"Captain, the last thing I remember... the Police Headquarters was under attack. A masked man who could phase through attacks was slaughtering our comrades!"

"Yes, and another intruder—powerful ninjutsu—he killed countless clan members..."

Fugaku's expression hardened. He turned, bewildered. "How are so many of us alive? What is happening here?"

At that moment, a familiar voice cried out, breaking through the chaos.

"Father! Mother!"

Sasuke's shout silenced the air. Both Fugaku and Mikoto turned, their eyes widening as they saw him.

Though grown into a man, his features were unmistakable.

"...Sasuke?!" Fugaku muttered in disbelief.

Mikoto rushed forward instantly, tears streaming as she cupped Sasuke's face, touching every angle as if to confirm it was real. "Fugaku—it's Sasuke! Our son—it's really him!"

At last, Sasuke's composure shattered. He broke down, clutching his mother tightly.

"Mother...!" he sobbed, the years of pain bursting free.

Itachi watched from the side, guilt threatening to suffocate him.

Fugaku's eyes shifted, narrowing on Itachi. "Itachi... what is the meaning of all this?"

Before Itachi could answer, several resurrected Uchiha shouted:

"It was him! He's the one who killed me!"

"Yes—I remember! That night, under the moonlight—it was Itachi who cut me down!"

Cries of accusation spread.

"Itachi betrayed the clan!"

"He slaughtered us all!"

The air turned hostile, rage boiling among the resurrected.

But then—someone gasped. "Wait... Shisui?! Shisui is here!"

Another voice rose, astonished. "But wasn't Shisui killed by Itachi too?"

"Yes, exactly! Why is he alive again?"

"Wait a second... didn't we all die? What's going on here...?"

Confusion rippled through the gathered clan.

At that moment, Naruto stepped forward, his golden chakra cloak flickering. He raised his voice above the chaos, calm but firm.

"Everyone, I know you're confused. I'll explain everything to you."
