Chapter 378 - Chapter 378 – There Will Be No Regrets in This Life

"Oh, oh, oh!"

Naruto and a group of his friends emerged from the tall grass, their faces beaming with joy.

Everyone began cheering, jumping around Jiraiya and Tsunade, clapping and laughing with pure excitement.

When Tsunade noticed so many juniors had witnessed her kiss with Jiraiya, her cheeks instantly flushed red. Embarrassed, she quickly buried her face in Jiraiya's chest.

Jiraiya chuckled, holding Tsunade gently in his arms. He looked at the younger shinobi and teased:

"What are you all laughing at, huh? Don't just stand there gawking—move along already!"

Tsunade gave him a small punch to the chest, clearly still shy, but Jiraiya only smiled and patted her back warmly.

"Alright, alright, don't be so shy," Jiraiya whispered softly to her. "They're just giving us their blessings."

From behind the crowd, Orochimaru stepped forward. His golden eyes flickered with rare warmth as he looked at his two teammates.

"Jiraiya, Tsunade… congratulations on finally coming together."

For Orochimaru—one of the Legendary Sannin—this was a rare moment of joy. To see his two comrades, after so many decades of wandering, finally find peace in each other brought a faint smile to his otherwise cold face.

Deep inside, Orochimaru was also someone who had once craved love, but everything he cherished slipped away, again and again. That pain pushed him down the path of pursuing forbidden truths. Yet now, watching Jiraiya and Tsunade standing side by side, he couldn't help but feel that perhaps not everything in life needed to end in emptiness.

Jiraiya grinned at him, raising his thumb high in the air. Orochimaru's lips curled in a small but genuine smile.

This moment carried history.

When they were children, Orochimaru and Jiraiya had made a bet.

Jiraiya swore he would win Tsunade's heart one day, while Orochimaru scoffed, saying Jiraiya had no chance.

The two had bickered endlessly back then, but finally agreed to make it a bet.

Jiraiya declared: "I'll hold Tsunade in my arms and give you a thumbs-up. That'll be proof I've won!"

Now, decades later, that very scene had come true.

Orochimaru calmly raised his own thumb in return, silently telling Jiraiya: You win.

The crowd of younger ninja swarmed closer.

Ino giggled and asked boldly: "Tsunade-sama, when will you and Jiraiya-sama get married?"

Tenten leaned in eagerly: "Yeah! This is a huge event for the whole village!"

Shikamaru yawned lazily, a smirk tugging at his lips. "How troublesome… but this kind of trouble, I actually like. Looks like Konoha's about to have some big celebrations."

Kiba elbowed Naruto with a grin. "Speaking of which—I heard you and Hinata are getting married too, Naruto!"

Lee's eyes widened in shock. "What?! Really, Naruto-kun?!"

Akamaru barked happily, his tail wagging as if confirming the news.

Shino adjusted his sunglasses, nodding in agreement.

Kiba scratched his nose and continued: "Hinata told us herself. She asked us to be there to help out when the time comes."

Ino pouted, glaring at Naruto. "Naruto, you're too much! You didn't even tell us about something this important!"

"That's right!" Tenten crossed her arms in mock anger.

Shikamaru sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "Man, this is really going to be a hassle… but honestly, I don't mind. A wedding, another wedding, more parties… it feels like happy times are finally coming back to the village."

Chōji laughed heartily. "That means lots of banquets! Count me in—I'm definitely not missing out on all the food this time!"

Everyone burst out laughing. After the brutal Fourth Shinobi World War, Konoha truly needed such joyful moments to heal.

When the group finally finished gathering themselves, they headed back to the village together.

That very night, word spread quickly across Konoha.

Tsunade had accepted Jiraiya's proposal. The Legendary Sannin would be married soon.

At the same time, news of Naruto's engagement to Hinata also spread through the village like wildfire.

The streets buzzed with conversation, and for the first time in years, the air was filled not with tension or sorrow, but with laughter, fireworks, and celebration.

Later that evening, Naruto returned home.

The moment he stepped inside, he saw Kushina sitting on the sofa, chatting warmly with Hinata, while Minato sat nearby, quietly reading a newspaper.

"Ah! Naruto, you're back!" Kushina called happily.

Hinata turned, her cheeks pink but her smile soft. "Naruto-kun, welcome home."

Naruto grinned back, nodding.

Kushina wasted no time. "Naruto, your father and I already decided on your wedding date. I just told Hinata. She'll talk it over with her father when she returns home."

Naruto's eyes softened as he glanced at Hinata. "Thank you, Hinata. You're always working so hard."

Hinata shook her head gently. "No… this is something I want to do. Because this is for Naruto-kun."

Naruto reached out and held her hand tightly, warmth filling his chest.

Whether in his past life or this one, Hinata had always been his anchor—his source of comfort and light. She had been the first to rush to his side in moments of danger, always protecting him without hesitation.

For Naruto, the greatest blessing of his life was that when he turned around… Hinata was still there, still loving him.

Minato folded his newspaper and looked up. "Naruto, earlier tonight there were fireworks going off one after another outside the village. Do you know what was happening?"

Naruto chuckled. "That was because of Ero-Sennin. He finally proposed to Tsunade-sama."

Minato's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? The teacher actually did it?"

Kushina laughed heartily. "I never thought I'd live to see the day Tsunade-sama finally accepted Jiraiya-sama—the village's biggest flirt!"

Naruto scratched his cheek awkwardly, but Kushina suddenly shot him a mischievous look.

"You know, after I gave birth to you, I was worried you'd pick up some of Jiraiya-sama's bad habits as you grew older. After all, your sensei is—"

"Hey, don't say that in front of the kids," Minato quickly interrupted, embarrassed.

Hinata giggled softly, standing up. "It's fine, uncle, aunt… but I should probably be heading home now."

Minato and Kushina both rose to see her off. Kushina nudged Naruto forward with a grin. "Naruto, walk Hinata home yourself. Don't let her go back alone."

Naruto was more than happy to agree, gently taking Hinata's hand as they walked toward the Hyūga compound.

Along the way, Hinata tilted her head curiously. "Naruto-kun… you were the one who helped plan Jiraiya-sensei's proposal, weren't you?"

Naruto gave a small nod.

Hinata paused, her lips pressing together. Naruto turned toward her, smiling. "What's wrong? Do you want me to prepare a proposal like that for you too?"

Hinata shook her head, smiling softly. "No. I'm already happy. According to what you told me about your past life, Jiraiya-sensei was supposed to die fighting Pain. But now… not only is he alive, he even managed to pursue Tsunade-sama successfully. Isn't that wonderful?"

Naruto's chest tightened. He looked up at the stars and whispered: "Yeah… it's really great."

But deep down, memories surged painfully.

In his past life, Jiraiya's story had been filled with nothing but regrets.

He had almost won the love of his life—Tsunade.

He had almost brought his best friend Orochimaru back from the darkness.

He had almost finished his beloved novel.

He had almost seen Naruto get married.

He had almost witnessed Naruto become Hokage.

Almost…

Naruto's fists clenched as tears welled up in his eyes.

Hinata noticed his trembling and stopped walking. "I'm sorry, Naruto-kun… I shouldn't have reminded you of the past."

Naruto quickly shook his head, forcing a smile. "No… it's alright. Because this time, I've changed everything. In this life, I won't leave behind any regrets. As long as I'm here, everything will be different!"

Hinata's expression softened. She nodded with a smile, her cheeks blushing faintly. "That's right. So… in this life, we'll have two children."

Naruto blinked, completely thrown off guard. "Huh?! Hinata, w-what are you talking about?!"

Hinata only giggled, tugging him along by the hand. "Come on, we're almost home. If Neji-niisan or Hanabi catch us lingering outside this late… I'll never forgive you!"

Naruto swallowed hard, falling silent. At that moment, Hinata was no longer the timid girl from his childhood—she was like the strong, confident wife he would one day cherish.

That night, in Hinata's room…

"Sage Mode"

Naruto activates his Sage Mode

Hinata activated her clan's ultimate defense, chakra spiraling fiercely around her.

The room lit up with spinning chakra and shadows.

And as the night deepened, neither of them held back.
