The three members of Team Ebisu — Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon — ran as fast as they could down the village streets. Finally, Moegi couldn't keep up anymore. She stopped, leaning against a wall, gasping for breath.
"I... I... I can't run anymore!"
Seeing this, Udon slumped down beside her, panting heavily. "Me too... I can't do it anymore!"
Konohamaru, still clutching the camera, looked behind him. There was no sign of Naruto chasing them. After running this far, he figured there was no way Naruto would catch up — not even with his stamina.
Relieved, Konohamaru carefully set the camera down and wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Let's rest for a bit. I don't think Big Brother Naruto will catch up to us."
Moegi straightened up slightly, still breathing hard. "That was close, Konohamaru! Naruto almost found out about our plan!"
Udon nodded in agreement. "Yeah, good thing we surrounded you earlier to block the camera's view. If he'd seen it, the surprise would've been ruined."
Konohamaru chuckled. "Heh, looks like we make a pretty good team! Once we catch our breath, we'll keep filming!"
Moegi and Udon both nodded eagerly.
They had already filmed messages from ten people, and confidence was still running high. Only one name remained on their list — Sasuke Uchiha.
At the thought of Sasuke, Konohamaru's excitement mixed with nervousness. Sasuke was as strong as Naruto, and those Sharingan eyes were enough to make anyone uneasy. After all, Sasuke had once been a rogue ninja, even branded a criminal by the village.
Still, considering his close bond with Naruto, Konohamaru hoped that meeting him wouldn't be as difficult as it sounded.
"Alright," Konohamaru said, standing up with determination. "There's only one person left — Sasuke. Once we get his blessing recorded, the whole project will be complete!"
Moegi and Udon nodded and grabbed their gear before following him. Their next stop — the Uchiha Compound.
When they arrived, Konohamaru hesitated at the entrance. The place still carried the weight of tragedy — the silence, the lingering memories of the Uchiha Clan Massacre. From a distance, faint figures could be seen moving in the shadows — Edo Tensei shinobi lingering from the war. Even though it was broad daylight, the atmosphere was chilling.
Moegi's hands trembled. "K-Konohamaru... maybe we should film someone else first?"
Udon placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Moegi. Konohamaru will protect us."
Konohamaru swallowed hard, thinking, Udon... you really overestimate me, buddy. But thanks for the faith.
Just as he took a hesitant step forward, a familiar voice came from behind them.
"Hey, you three brats... what are you doing standing there?"
"AAAHHHHH!!!"
All three screamed at once, instinctively huddling together like frightened cats. When they turned around — it was Sasuke Uchiha himself.
Sasuke raised an eyebrow, mildly amused. "...Really? I just spoke, and you're screaming like I attacked you."
After a moment, recognition flickered across Sasuke's face. "Konohamaru, right? The grandson of the Third Hokage. Naruto's little brother figure."
"Ahaha... yes, that's me!" Konohamaru stammered, then straightened up. "Sasuke— uh, Brother Sasuke! We actually came to see you about something important."
Hearing the respectful "Brother Sasuke," Sasuke's expression softened slightly, a rare hint of a smile forming.
"What's this about?"
Konohamaru quickly explained the idea: filming blessing messages from everyone close to Naruto as a surprise wedding gift. Sasuke listened quietly, his eyes distant, thoughtful.
"I see," Sasuke said finally. "Naruto's wedding is coming soon... yeah, I should prepare something as well."
Konohamaru grinned. "Then, Brother Sasuke, can we record your blessing message?"
Sasuke nodded. "Alright. But not here — this place isn't exactly... cheerful. Follow me."
He led them to a quiet riverside spot. The sunlight reflected off the water, and a gentle breeze stirred the trees. A small bench stood by the bank. Sasuke sat down calmly. "Go ahead. You can start filming."
Konohamaru signaled to Moegi to hold the microphone and to Udon to manage the sound recorder. Adjusting the focus, Konohamaru gave a thumbs-up. "Ready — and... action!"
He began the interview. "Brother Sasuke, can I ask — how would you describe your relationship with Brother Naruto?"
Sasuke thought for a moment, then replied flatly, "He's a good friend of mine."
Konohamaru frowned slightly. "That's... kind of plain." He decided to push further. "Then... what does Naruto mean to you?"
Sasuke fell silent. The wind rustled the leaves as he raised his head, eyes glinting with reflection. He inhaled deeply, then exhaled. "At one point," he said slowly, "Naruto was the only person I cared about in this world... the only bond I had left."
Konohamaru smiled, satisfied. That was the truth — raw and heartfelt. He remembered how Naruto once chased after Sasuke, how he never gave up on bringing him back, even when everyone else had lost hope. Konohamaru had always admired that bond.
"Alright, Brother Sasuke," Konohamaru said. "Now please give your wedding blessings to Naruto and Sister Hinata!"
Sasuke looked straight into the camera, his usual stoic face softening with emotion. "Naruto... time passes quickly. There was a time I thought I'd die on the path of revenge — that I'd live and die as a lonely hawk flying too high to ever land. But you... you changed that. You made me see a different path, a different kind of strength."
He smiled faintly. "I never properly thanked you for that. So now, let me say it — thank you, Naruto. Thank you for everything. I wish you and Hinata happiness and peace. As your friend, I hope your days are filled with laughter... and maybe a little chaos, too. You're going to make a great husband and father."
Konohamaru's face lit up. He pressed the button to stop recording. "Perfect! That was absolutely perfect!"
Sasuke stood as they packed up. "Glad I could help. Tell Naruto I'll see him at the wedding."
Konohamaru grinned. "We will! Thanks, Brother Sasuke!"
As they walked away, Sasuke watched them go with a rare, peaceful smile. "It's good... everyone's sending their blessings to him," he murmured.
Later that day, they returned to the Konoha Ninja Academy.
Iruka-sensei looked flustered as the camera was set up in front of him. "Wait, you really want me to record a message on camera?"
Moegi nodded earnestly. "Of course, Iruka-sensei! You're one of the most important people in Naruto's life. We can't leave you out!"
Udon agreed. "Yeah, Naruto always talks about you."
Iruka scratched the back of his head, smiling sheepishly. "Alright, alright... let's do it."
Konohamaru counted down and started recording. Iruka looked straight into the lens, his voice warm and sincere.
"Naruto... you've come a long way. I've watched you grow from a lonely troublemaker into a man worthy of respect. Seeing you reach this point makes me proud beyond words. You're about to start a new chapter, and I couldn't be happier. Bless you, Naruto... and bless you too, Hinata. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness."
Next was Anko Mitarashi. She grinned mischievously at the camera. "Naruto! I've had my eye on you since the Chūnin Exams! You were loud, reckless — and full of potential. Looks like I was right, huh? Congratulations, brat! Hinata, take care of him — he's a handful! I wish you both a happy marriage!"
Then came Kakashi Hatake, his single visible eye crinkling into a smile. "Naruto, Hinata — congratulations on your wedding. Naruto, the title of Hokage is waiting for you... so get ready."
Jiraiya appeared next, laughing heartily. "Hahaha! Naruto, my foolish but lovable student! You're getting married, huh? Don't worry, I'll be there to watch it myself — and maybe give a few tips for your honeymoon! Hahaha!"
Before he could continue, Tsunade's foot smashed into his head, sending him flying out of frame. She stepped into view, smiling warmly. "Naruto, Hinata — congratulations. I'll make sure this idiot behaves at the wedding. You two deserve all the happiness in the world."
Finally, Teuchi, the Ichiraku Ramen owner, leaned into the frame. "Naruto! Hinata! Congratulations! I've prepared a special gift for you both — something I know you'll love. I'll bring it to your wedding myself!"
His daughter Ayame popped in beside him, laughing. "Get ready, Naruto — it's a surprise!"
One by one, people appeared before the camera — teachers, comrades, friends, and villagers. The filming continued until nightfall. Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon were exhausted but satisfied. The list wasn't done yet — there were still friends from other nations to capture when they arrived for the wedding.
But as they packed up their camera and looked up at the stars above Konoha, Konohamaru smiled. "It's all coming together. Brother Naruto's going to love this."
