Chapter 5 - Starring

A beginning of a fantasy friendship, 13 friends met in a class in a new school.

Then , an ancient ranger called them after class one day after school.

Ancient ranger:You 13 are the new Spirit force Rangers.

One of them asked:What is that

Ancient ranger:A ranger is a hero who fights monsters to save humanity.

The sky split open with a roar.

Andy clutched the reins of his glider beast as it dove between jagged cliffs, wind screaming past his ears. Behind him, Peter fired a bolt of energy from his gauntlet, striking the wing of the pursuing monster. It shrieked, spiraling into the canyon below.

"Two down," Peter shouted. "Three still chasing!"

Andy gritted his teeth. "We need to reach the vault before sunset. If they get the gemstones first—"

A shadow passed overhead. Massive. Winged. Ancient.

Esthen's voice crackled through the comm crystal. "Incoming! It's the Wyrm Lord!"

The rangers veered sharply, dodging a blast of molten fire. Trees ignited. Rocks shattered. The world trembled beneath the fury of the beast.

Andy pulled a gemstone from his satchel—glowing faintly, pulsing with power. "We're not ready for this," he muttered.

Peter glanced at him. "We never are."

They landed hard in the clearing, weapons drawn. Esthen emerged from the mist, her staff humming with elemental energy. "We fight together," she said. "Or we fall alone."

The Wyrm Lord descended, eyes burning like twin suns.

And the battle began.

The wind howled across the jagged cliffs of Veyra Ridge as Andy tightened his grip on the gemstone pouch. The mission was clear: retrieve the lost Emberstone before the monsters found it. But clarity didn't make it any less dangerous.

Peter crouched beside him, scanning the horizon through his scope. "Movement. North ridge. Fast."

Andy nodded. "They're hunting it too."

From the shadows, a low growl echoed—then a flash of claws and teeth. A beast lunged from the underbrush, eyes glowing with hunger. Andy rolled aside, drawing his twin blades in one fluid motion. Peter fired a bolt from his gauntlet, striking the creature's flank.

"Not just one," Peter warned. "We've got a pack."

The forest erupted. Three more monsters burst through the trees, each more twisted than the last. Andy and Peter fought back-to-back, blades and bolts flying. The air shimmered with energy as the gemstones in Andy's pouch pulsed—reacting to the chaos.

Suddenly, a blinding light shot from the pouch, forming a barrier around them. The monsters hissed, retreating.

Peter stared. "What was that?"

Andy looked down at the pouch. "I think the stones are waking up."

From the treetops, a figure watched—cloaked, silent, and very much not human.

The hunt had only just begun.
