Once Edmund dragged one of the prisoners out, Primrose slowly rose from her chair. The gentle smile on her face faded into something colder, something that made every prisoner's spine stiffen.
The first prisoner was the same woman who had once wished Primrose dead and hoped she'd be violated by a group of men, just so she could sell all the queen's expensive dresses.
Ironically, she was quite lucky that Primrose hadn't told Edmund about her filthy thoughts. Instead, she would become the queen's first test subject.
"Since you claim to be loyal," Primrose said softly, her voice calm but filled with authority, "then you will prove it."
Her golden eyes locked onto the woman kneeling before her. "Winter is coming, and your dead Alpha destroyed our supplies. So, from this moment on, you will hunt for us."
Edmund gently channeled his magic into Primrose through their joined hands. She felt her power grow stronger as if his magic were a flame feeding hers.
