Not long after, Lazarus entered her room and said he wanted to stay with her through the night.
The old Primrose might've happily agreed, but the current her immediately refused her father's overprotectiveness.
"I'm fine, Father," Primrose said softly. "You should rest too. Your leg was still limping earlier. Let's rest in our own rooms and meet again tomorrow morning."
Lazarus frowned, clearly displeased.
"Rosie, why are you being so cruel to your father? Do you really prefer to spend the night with your husband instead of me?"
