When the auctioneer stepped onto the stage, the crowd burst into applause, welcoming him with eager smiles. Everyone was excited, ready to bid on the treasures waiting to be revealed.
"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!" the auctioneer called out cheerfully, waving to the audience. "For those who came last month and felt disappointed with the selection, today will make up for it because we have plenty of extraordinary items for you!"
Primrose listened quietly to his lively speech while nibbling on the pastries served by the maids. Honestly, she was only there for the experience. None of the items in the catalog really caught her eye, and Edmund didn't seem interested in anything either.
Lazarus hadn't arrived yet, but even if he didn't show up, his famous rum would still sell for a high price. His presence wasn't really needed anyway. At least this way, Primrose could enjoy some peaceful time with her husband.
