Primrose soaked her feet in warm water after changing into her nightgown. She finally let out a sigh of relief. Her gown had been heavy, and the corset felt a little too tight.
"I probably shouldn't wear a corset anymore after this," Primrose said as she gently rubbed her belly. "My stomach is getting bigger. Husband, do you think it looks bigger?"
Edmund was kneeling on the floor as he washed her feet. He looked up at her and smiled. "It just means our child is growing well." He set the towel aside and pressed his ear against her belly. "Our baby's heartbeat sounds stronger now. How about you?" Then he rested his ear on her chest. "You sound fine too."
Primrose giggled and gently pushed him away. "Of course I'm fine. You've taken such good care of me."
His efforts—giving her his saliva and sending magic into her body every night—were finally showing results.
