The enemy is somewhere nearby," Tharos said, his voice steady yet commanding, carrying the natural authority of a man who had faced countless battlefields.

"Or perhaps… even listening to us right now."

The moment those words left his mouth, a chill passed through the group. All three men instinctively shifted into defensive stances, muscles coiled and eyes sharp. The forest around them suddenly felt heavier, the silence pressing against their ears as if the trees themselves were listening.
