Lyra dressed quietly, her movements slow but precise, every brushstroke and button an armor she wore to face the day. Casian hadn't shown himself since the early morning.

Not that she was surprised.

Avoidance was easier than confrontation—for both of them.

But now, as Luna, she had a duty that went beyond her emotions. If she was going to earn her place, she needed to understand the pack—his pack. So she started the day with the records and scrolls stacked in the library, determined to dive into the roots of what Casian had built.

Her fingers skimmed over a worn, leather-bound journal, pausing as she read a particular line.

Lyra leaned back slightly, brows furrowed.

It's surprising… Casian, of all people, giving shelter to wolves from other packs? Some were disowned, others without an Alpha at all.

She flipped another page, studying the hand-drawn maps and names listed under pack alliances.
