With the moon high up in the sky, cloaking up the grounds of the forest as evelynne walked through it. The sound of crickets, the light owls and sounds echoed through but she traipsed forward not caring about that.
The cool night air kissed her skin through her cloak and she rubbed her skin. Sometimes she wondered why some of the inner features of a werewolf were lost in her.
Werewolves are always warm. But she never was, well not all the time and she never told anyone not even Beth. There were too many things to think about and not her body temperature.
The air got chiller and she shivered, wrapping her hand more around herself. She had come out here to think and rest a bit. Persisting, a low rumble cracked through the canopy trees and a fearful sound of thunder.
She groaned inwardly. Why must it be today that ran decided to fall? She sprinted away holding onto her cloak as drops of water fell on her before the heavens poured itself on her. Her eyes moved, veering around searching for a place to stay before going back to the pack house.
Her claws came and she groaned more, this happened when the cold was unbearable which was as her teeth gnashed with each other and a searing pain struck through her head and her vision blurred for a second.
Shaking the water of the rain off her head as it poured more down on her, she dragged the cover of the cloak on her head closer. "Ahh" she whimpered. She stopped in the middle of the damp ground now and wet forest leaves.
Her eyes searched for a place to stay and she thanked the moon goddess whom she didn't know was still listening to her as she left for the opening of whatever was there.
She didn't know how far she had come or what place this was as she stood in front of a dark opening. Probably a cave with how the roof came out and has more covering.
She slowly sauntered inside, it was pitch black. The breeze outside increased and she stepped back into the cave and sighed. Touching her cloak, she knew this was supposed to get off her body.
But she would only be left with a flimsy fancy gown. She had put on one of her normal favorite dresses that has no layers or anything. The wetness from the cloak went through her back and she pressed it more into her body.
While waiting for the rain to stop just by the cave's entrance for what felt like hours. The rain wasn't stopping and she started considering sleeping in there for the night.
Looking back inside once in a while she did again but halted as a flicker of light shined through somewhere. Squinting her eyes at the light after staring at darkness for far too long. The moon wasn't even out tonight.
She shivered, stepping back as the light kept moving forward, more close to her. She shrieked which she doesn't normally do but she was so weak and cold "who is there?" Her voice reverberated through the cave.
And before she couldn't find her footing and flee, a hot palm covered her mouth and she shouted into it, letting go of her cloak thus scratching on the hand.
"Shhh" a rough voice whispered into her ear and her cloak fell off her shoulder while he dragged her into the cave. Pulling her more into the cage and dropping her to the ground with a considerable force, she scrambled off, crawling backwards to the nearest wall.
"Who…who are you?"
A flicker of light appeared on his palm and he dragged it to his face where she saw who it was and her irritation clogged her up with vexation as she stood up"you?"
"That has been your word every time you see me," he said with nonchalance. "Try something else evelynne"
Evelynne almost bit her tongue with how she wanted to make a big outburst out of his behaviour. She pointed at him "you. don't. take. people. away. like. that"
He sighed, going down on his knees and lighting up a fire in the woods she hadn't noticed. The place was dark. The place glowed up and warmed up.
She said exhaled into her hands before rubbing against her arms, "you might want to take off that dress with how you are shivering" his voice came in which her eyes went to him in, low and amused, cutting through the air and silence.
