Chapter 69 - Dealing with Exella

When Allen arrived at the apartment with Sherry, as usual, he was greeted by Tiamat.

"Welcome home, Allen. Who's this?" Tiamat asked, a little confused about why Allen was bringing a young girl into the apartment.

Allen kissed Tia on the lips like always before answering. "Well, let me introduce you—this is Sherry Birkin, Annette's daughter," he said, then added, "Can you show her to her room? She'll be staying with us for now."

"Oh, so you're Annette's daughter," Tia said gently as she greeted Sherry. "My name's Tiamat, but you can just call me Tia."

"Hi, Tia. You can just call me Sherry too," the girl replied, though she was still a little puzzled. Why does this woman have such a weird name… Tiamat? Sherry thought.

"Come on, follow me. I'm sure you'll enjoy living here," Tia said warmly.

She gave Sherry a little tour first, introducing her to the other girls before finally showing her to her room.

Meanwhile, Allen dropped down on the sofa, ready to relax with some popcorn while flipping on the TV. "Man, TV shows in this era are kind of boring… but at least there are a few I like—Doraemon, Tom and Jerry, and some other cartoons."

Not long after, Jill, Aphrodite, and Raviel came in and sat down on the same sofa. Allen greeted them each with a kiss.

"So, how was your shopping trip? Did you have fun?" Allen asked.

"Yeah, we really enjoyed our time," Raviel answered, settling onto his lap and stealing popcorn from the bowl.

"Allen, I've been thinking… maybe we should move out of this place," Jill suddenly said.

"Oh? Why do you want to move? Is something bothering you?" Allen asked curiously.

Jill nodded. "Yes. I'm worried about our safety here, especially since some of us are pregnant now. And after seeing you bring Sherry home, I feel like it's time we found somewhere safer. I've already talked to the others, and they agree with me."

Allen turned toward Raviel and Aphrodite. "And what about you two? Do you agree with Jill on this?"

"Yes," Raviel and Aphrodite replied almost in unison.

"We do. Honestly, we just don't want to live so close to those disgusting creatures anymore. I want to stay somewhere much more comfortable," Aphrodite said firmly.

Allen then looked at Raviel.

"I don't mind either. Actually, I think it'd be even better if we stayed somewhere safer," Raviel added.

"Hmmm, yeah… I was planning for us to move eventually anyway. How about New York or LA? What do you think?" Allen asked with a grin.

"I think LA is better. We could buy a big mansion by the coast. It's beautiful there, and the atmosphere is nicer," Aphrodite suggested.

"Alright then, LA it is. How about you girls handle buying the mansion? You can treat it like a little vacation too," Allen said casually.

"You're not coming with us?" Jill asked.

"No, not yet. There are still some things I need to take care of here. You can all go ahead first. Once I'm done, I'll join you," Allen reassured her.

"Okay… but you have to promise you'll come after us," Jill said. She understood her husband's intentions, but worry lingered in her eyes.

"Don't worry, Jill. He'll be fine. You have to trust our husband," Raviel said, trying to comfort her.

Jill nodded, though her heart was still uneasy. After all, what woman wouldn't worry about the man she loved being in danger? If only she knew the truth—that there was really nothing she needed to be afraid of.

....

Not long after their discussion about planning their move, Wednesday spoke through her bracelet.

"Sir, you have a call from someone at Tricell. Do you want to answer it?"

"Huh? Someone from Tricell?" Allen thought for a moment—the caller was most likely Excella. He agreed.

"Of course, Wednesday, pick it up."

"Okay, Sir."

Soon, a familiar woman's voice came through.

"Hello, Dr. Winters. It's me, Excella."

Her voice was unusually sweet. She didn't sound like her usual self—it almost seemed like she was trying to seduce Allen rather than discuss anything important.

"Yes, this is Allen. Do you need something from me?" he replied casually.

"May I call you Allen? You can just call me Excella."

"Of course, Excella."

Allen's eyebrow lifted slightly, curiosity sparking.

"Great. Ah, yes… Allen, do you have some time? I'd like to speak with you privately, if that's alright," Excella said softly.

Allen was a little surprised. This normally arrogant woman had called him just to arrange a private meeting.

"Of course. You can choose the time and place."

"How about tonight, at the hotel where I'm staying? Would that work?" she asked. Her hotel was secure enough, more convenient than going elsewhere.

"Of course. I'll come by tonight," Allen answered with a faint smile. Excella seemed impatient, but Allen wasn't disappointed—in fact, he felt a little excited.

"Alright then, Allen. See you soon."

"Yes," Allen replied shortly.

Moments later, the call ended.

That night, Allen was already inside the Grand Hotel, where Excella and the Tricell people were staying in the city. For the people of Tricell, renting luxury suites seemed like a small matter—after all, they were a giant pharmaceutical company monopolizing the global market.

Excella, seeing that Allen had arrived, immediately took the initiative to welcome him personally. She didn't want this chance to be taken by another family member besides herself—she intended to be the one to get close to Allen and secure her business potential.

"Hello, welcome Allen, I'm very grateful you could come," Excella said in a soft tone.

"Yeah, no problem. So, what exactly do you want to talk to me about?" Allen replied, watching Excella. She was wearing a thin, very sexy dress that revealed her cleavage and showed off her curves, paired with high heels that made her charisma even more tempting.

But Excella simply walked toward the table with the expensive sofa, guiding Allen to sit there.

"Are you in a hurry, Allen?"

"Not really, I'm just not used to small talk," Allen answered casually.

"In that case, how about while we talk, we enjoy a few glasses of champagne?" Excella offered.

Allen just nodded. "Sure, I don't think that's a problem."

"Great, then wait a moment."

Excella walked over to grab a bottle of champagne and two glasses, pouring drinks for herself and Allen at a small bar not far from the sofa.

"Here," Excella said, handing a glass of champagne to Allen.

"Okay, thanks," Allen replied, taking the glass.

Once the atmosphere felt relaxed enough, Excella finally spoke.

"Allen, I want to make you a proposal," she said, sitting closer to him, her hand moving as if to reach for his body. From his angle, Allen could clearly see Excella's nipple slightly visible between her cleavage.

Is this woman trying to seduce me? She's pretty aggressive, Allen thought, but he remained calm, thinking clearly, his gaze steady on her.

"What kind of proposal do you mean?" Allen asked, sipping his drink.

Is this man not tempted by my appearance? That's impossible. So many men wanted to sleep with me, but I rejected all of them because they weren't worthy, Excella thought.

Taking a deep breath before answering, she said, "I want to form a partnership with you. I know you have a technology company and develop weapons for the military. And if you want to open a pharmaceutical company, you know that will be difficult, since the market is already monopolized by several big companies."

She placed her glass on the table, then her fingers trailed toward Allen's chest, trying to touch him—but Allen caught her hand.

"Do you want to talk about business, or are you trying to seduce me, Miss Gionne?" Allen said.

Excella wasn't angry at Allen's rejection of her advances. On the contrary, she became even more obsessed with him because of it.

"Of course, I want to talk business," Excella said, picking her glass back up and taking another sip of her champagne.

"As you know, I'm a member of the Tricell group, so I want to offer my services to sell your inventions in the pharmaceutical and medical market. I'm sure if we work together, we can make a lot of money. So, what do you think?" Excella said in a seductive tone.

Allen only shook his head. "But from what I've heard, the Travis family restricts your resources. What can you really do with such limited means?" Allen asked, throwing a rather sensitive question at her.

Still, Excella didn't back down. "I have a trading company. Besides, my grandmother is an important figure in the Travis main family line. My grandmother will definitely support me and grant me permission to take responsibility within Tricell." Excella spoke with a hint of bitterness.

"But that alone won't be enough. I understand the business world and how your family operates in managing the Tricell group, Excella," Allen said, shaking his head before locking eyes with her again. He continued, "So tell me, what are your qualifications that make you so confident you can work with me?"

"I have connections. And if you want to sell your products, you'll need to talk to the right people to ensure your sales run smoothly," Excella replied. Her gaze locked on Allen's, now far more serious and no longer carrying the playful seduction from earlier. "If you had to handle all of that personally, your research time would be cut short, and you'd waste valuable time on such things. I can do that for you."

Excella was desperate to prove that she was highly qualified for this role. More than that, the opportunity to work with a genius like Allen, sitting right in front of her, only fueled her obsession. She certainly didn't want to let this golden chance slip away, because she was convinced that if she could win this man over, she would finally be able to prove to the Travis family that she could succeed without their help.

"That still isn't enough. We need far more resources than what the Tricell group alone can provide," Allen said, shaking his head. He deliberately used the word we, giving Excella a glimmer of hope.

"Can you explain what you mean?" Excella's heartbeat quickened the moment Allen phrased it that way—it meant she had a real chance of working with him. She had long grown tired of being nothing more than a puppet to the Travis family. Rather than remain under their thumb, she preferred to rely on her own abilities.

"Cancer medication isn't my main goal—it's just a byproduct, something I made while messing around," Allen replied casually.

Excella pouted slightly, disappointed. To her, it felt like Allen was wasting his brilliance by not focusing on something that could clearly bring immense profit. "So, what you're saying is… you're not interested in continuing this research?"

"Like I said, this is just a side project, not my primary work. I only stumbled across this cure by coincidence," Allen answered humbly.

"Do you know what the U.S. government has always wanted from Umbrella? I'm sure you're aware," Excella said, raising an eyebrow. Of course she knew—Tricell, as a massive conglomerate, had its spies placed across Umbrella and even The Family.

"Of course I know what you mean—bioweapons. But no, I'm not interested in those. What I'm talking about is the government's real original project—the one they've always wanted: the super soldier serum," Allen explained.

"You're joking…" Excella said, doubtful.

"Not at all. In fact, Spencer himself has been working on a project far crazier than mine. What he's really been trying to achieve all this time is immortality. But as you know, the company ended up creating bioweapons instead. He likely kept his true project secret, with only a handful of people aware of it."

"Immortality is completely impossible," Excella scoffed.

"Yes, it is… but that doesn't mean it's impossible to enhance the human body—grant it superhuman abilities and significantly extend lifespan," Allen replied smoothly.

Hearing that, Excella's eyes lit up. "Are you saying… you're certain you can achieve that?"

Allen only smiled. "It's better if you see the progress yourself…" He then spoke into his wrist device. "Wednesday, show her the latest research data."

"Of course, Sir," Wednesday replied. Moments later, a projection appeared, displaying a video of Allen's women casually lifting weights over fifty tons with ease.

Excella gasped in shock. "This… this is real?"

"Of course," Allen said calmly. He leaned closer, whispering into her ear. "Only those within my circle benefit from this. I have no interest in selling it to the public."

"Allen, what do I have to do to become part of your circle? I want in—I'll do anything, please," Excella pleaded, already captivated by what she had seen. At this point, her pride no longer mattered.

"That's simple," Allen said, gently lifting her chin with his hand. "We just need to find a way to raise your standing within the Travis family first."
