Theo read the notification before him as he lay rested inside the cave, the wall of which he had taken refuge on since escaping the village and his pursuers. It was now midnight and he was many, many, many miles away from the ruined mess that is — was — Sage Mellows Village.
Despite being deep inside the Mystic Forests, the area he settled in was still technically the outskirts. Many beasts roamed these parts, but not the ultra-powerful ones—the ones that truly made the forest a nightmare. Lucky for him. Or maybe not. Theo wasn't exactly the type to run from a good fight, but rest was rest.
