"What did I expect when I killed them? Did I really think they would feel any regret?" Evelynn sighed.
The fact that Marylin hadn't even remembered Lydia had taken some of the wind out from Evelynn's bluster.
The expected feeling after her completed revenge didn't come. The hollowness still came back. It wasn't gone.
"Getting revenge was supposed to make it better. It was supposed to alleviate my guilt," she sighed as she looked towards Dandelion.
"Do you think it will help when I finally get revenge against my family?"
Looking back at her, Dandelion jumped into her arms. "…Evelynn…Sad…Fight…Happy…"
"So, I should keep fighting, is that what you're saying?" she asked as she gave a weak chuckle.
"The hollowness did seem to disappear while I was fighting…" she thought out loud as she considered Dandelion's words.
