"Hey, bus girl!"
Evelynn had barely walked out of her parents field of vision before a quiet but insistent voice sounded out right behind her.
Spinning around she instinctively raised her arms in defense and was surprised to see Darius walking right behind her.
'I didn't even notice him behind me,' she paled as she saw how close he was standing to her. He had gotten so close that when Evelynn turned around he had to take a step back just to keep them from colliding.
'If he had wanted to hurt me…' the thought sent a shiver down her body, putting her on high alert.
"So… you have quite the family," Darius chuckled with a deceptively jovial attitude as he whisked Evelynn into an empty room before she had even processed his words.
It happened so fast Evelynn hadn't even been able to resist, even in her alerted state, as he grabbed and dragged her inside. Once inside Darius stepped back from her, not intruding in her personal space.
