Chapter 119 - Chapter 118: THREE KINGS INHERITANCE (22)

Chapter 118: THREE KINGS INHERITANCE (22)

On San Cha mountain peak, only one light pillar remained. The other two had been "claimed" by unknown players.

But something weird was happening. A grey plain flickered in the air like a bad render, giving major SUS vibes, a field just hanging out on a mountain peak like it paid rent.

Xiao Mang had punched a hole in reality, and nobody knew how to react. The crowd was giving "NPCs waiting for dialogue trigger" energy.

Xiao Mang, performing for the camera, gave a subtle side-eye to his pre-placed hype man.

A random Gu Master popped out of the crowd like a paid actor. "Lord Xiao Mang's aura is immaculate! He literally broke the game for us! Now we can all enter!"

He then did a demonstration run—hopping in, using multiple Gu, hopping back out. The heavenly suppression in that area was now giving "light work" energy.

The crowd lost their collective minds. The FOMO hit critical mass.

"Lord Xiao Mang cares about us small players!"

"He's the people's champion!"

"A true righteous path gigachad!"

Xiao Mang smiled warmly on the outside. On the inside, his internal monologue was pure "I'm the main character" delusion: "Late to the party, both inheritances already taken, only King Bao left. These NPCs don't know I just wanted to crash the server so nobody could win cleanly. If I can't have it, nobody can. Hehe."

The crowd flooded into the breach like Black Friday shoppers.

Inside the blessed land, Fang Yuan was doing final prep work.

He'd spent two hours arranging Bai Ning Bing's dogs into a defensive formation on the gentle slopes around the bronze hall. It wasn't a fortress, but it was a lot of fur.

BOOM.

The ground shook. Dust fell from the hall ceiling.

"Xiao Mang just made a hole," the Land Spirit reported. "Mass panic mode activated out there. Everyone's rushing in."

Fang Yuan didn't even flinch. In his past life memories, this was the script. Xiao Mang wanted chaos, and chaos bought time.

"Chaos is good. Xiao Mang's playing himself into my hand."

"Wait." The Land Spirit's voice glitched. "There's a Rank Five in the crowd. He slipped past my sensors like a ghost. Only caught him when he moved."

Fang Yuan's eyebrows did a slow rise. The screen flickered to show the intruder.

Long black hair down to his waist. Deep purple eyes with eyebrows that curled up like flames. An aura that screamed "I'm the final boss of this side quest."

Mo Wu Tian.

Fang Yuan's memory bank pulled the file. Soul Path specialist. Ancient inheritance recipient. In the original timeline, this man had beheaded multiple Rank Five righteous players at Yi Tian Mountain and escaped the final wipe like it was nothing.

"He wasn't supposed to be here," Fang Yuan muttered. "My butterfly effect just spawned a raid boss."

On the screen, Mo Wu Tian suddenly paused. He turned slightly, his purple eyes looking directly at... the camera. At Fang Yuan.

His lips curled into a smile that said "I know you're watching."

"He sensed us," the Land Spirit panicked. "He's heading this way."

Fang Yuan's brain processed at maximum speed. Mo Wu Tian was targeting him specifically. Why? What did he know?

"No time for mysteries," Fang Yuan snapped. "Land Spirit, raise the fog. Feng Tian Yu, you're with me inside. Final step, now."

He grabbed Feng Tian Yu and headed into the bronze hall. The hairy men NPCs were left outside as the last line of defense.

Bai Ning Bing watched them go, her eyes doing the "I'm calculating my own play" thing.

The fog rose, covering the hall and the hundred thousand dogs on the hill.

Inside the hall, footsteps echoed off empty bronze walls. Most of the relief sculptures were gone—consumed as crafting materials. The place was giving "abandoned warehouse" vibes.

Fang Yuan and Feng Tian Yu sat cross-legged by the bronze cauldron.

"This is it," Fang Yuan breathed. "The final boss of crafting."

Feng Tian Yu's breathing was already rapid. To a Refinement Path main, watching an Immortal Gu being crafted was like a normal person watching their favorite streamer hit Radiant rank.

"Let's cook."

Fang Yuan tossed the False Second Aperture Gu into the cauldron. The thin layer of immortal essence at the bottom ignited without fire, turning into blue smoke that wrapped around the false Gu.

The Gu floated, turning yellow.

Blue smoke and yellow light began to blend.

After an unknown time, the smoke turned into floating grass beads. The light became falling flowers.

"Now." Fang Yuan pulled out a dagger and opened his own artery.

Essence blood sprayed into the mix. This step was ownership—without it, the finished Gu would just fly away like an unclaimed package.

The smoke and light sizzled, turning into a red cloud that pulsed like a heartbeat. The cloud settled into a field of blood-red wheat.

Fang Yuan healed his wound, but his face was now giving "donated too much blood at the clinic" energy.

"Wild grass grow wildly, the qi of blood like the sea. Three hundred years as spring, five hundred years as autumn," he recited. "Lifespan Gu. Ba Gui!"

The Land Spirit materialized two Lifespan Gu. One small, like a coiled blue snake—three hundred years. One large, like a dragon ready to fly—five hundred years. Both could extend a Gu Master's life with zero side effects. The value was "you can't afford it" tier.

Feng Tian Yu's eyes went wide. This was the kind of loot that made people commit war crimes.

Fang Yuan threw in the three-hundred-year Gu.

The cloud swallowed it and immediately started acting up-turning into a blue-scaled snake trying to escape his control. Fang Yuan grabbed its tail just as most of it slipped through.

His eyes went bloodshot. This was a clutch moment. If the cloud escaped, the entire craft was a wipe.

He held on like his character depended on it-because it did.

Seconds felt like hours. Finally, the cloud settled.

Fang Yuan mentally cursed the ancient Gu Immortal who wrote this recipe. "Important detail missing. Fuck you stupid developer."

The cloud had digested the three-hundred-year Gu. The blood-red wheat field was now blue-green, like spring crops. "Three hundred years as spring."

"That ancient Gu Immortal definitely only theory-crafted this," Fang Yuan muttered. "Never actually executed."

Next: the five-hundred-year Gu. But first, a status check.

"Ba Gui. Show me the poison zone."

An image appeared. Long Qing Tian's corpse, still glowing toxic green. The jade sky poison had spread everywhere. Two rank three players wandered into frame.

"Ooh, a corpse!"

"That's Long Qing Tian! Demon path legend!"

"Loot time!"

Fang Yuan didn't even bother warning them. Ten steps in, they turned into green light particles. /deleted.

"The poison's deep," Fang Yuan noted. "This hole's gonna be bigger than Xiao Mang's."

BOOM. Five minutes later, the second hole opened. Server integrity: dropping fast.

"Continue," Fang Yuan ordered, throwing in the five-hundred-year Gu.

The cloud raged again, stronger this time-like a snake evolving into a dragon. But Fang Yuan was ready. With Feng Tian Yu's help, they suppressed it.

Five minutes later, the cloud showed golden wheat, fully ripe. "Five hundred years as autumn."

The cloud shrank into a new Gu, falling into Fang Yuan's hand. It looked like a peanut shell, golden with red blood traces. This was the real Second Aperture Gu, incubating inside. It could last forty years-unlike the false version's one-week shelf life.

But it wasn't finished. To make it immortal, it needed the final external force: the Rank Six Divine Travel Gu.

"Now we use an Immortal Gu to craft an Immortal Gu," Fang Yuan breathed. "The ultimate craft."

Outside, the chaos was peaking.

Players were fighting over dogs, eggmen, random loot. Bodies were stacking up like a battle royale endgame.

But some players noticed something off.

"Where's Lord Tie Mu Bai?"

"Where's our Wu Shen Tong?"

"This is sus...."

They started searching. The only place left unsearched: the thick fog in the deepest part of the blessed land.

Mo Wu Tian stood at the edge of that fog. His purple eyes glowed, piercing the mist. Behind it: a hill covered in dogs. A hundred thousand dogs.

"Immortal Gu aura," he murmured. "In there."

He couldn't solo this. He needed a raid party.

In minutes, he found Hu Mei Er, who was busy failing to capture a Green Egg Empress.

"Young master Wu Tian!" She was shook. "You're Rank Five now?!"

"Ignore the egg empress," Mo Wu Tian cut her off. "Behind that fog: a living land spirit. A dead Gu Immortal's treasure. But it's guarded by a hundred thousand dogs."

Hu Mei Er's eyes did the "profit" calculation instantly.

They started recruiting. With Hu Mei Er's network and Mo Wu Tian's rep, demonic path players flocked. Li Xian the demonic merchant. Bao Tong the fiery star. Li Qiang the rock lizard. Soon, a thousand-strong demonic army stood at the fog's edge.

Bai Ning Bing watched from the hill. The fog obscured her from them, but the Land Spirit gave her full vision. She could see the raid party forming.

Mo Wu Tian began issuing orders like a raid leader with a spreadsheet.

"Li Qiang, three hundred head-on. Draw the steel armor dogs left. Hu Mei Er, five hundred flank left, engage the lightning dogs. Bao Tong, eight hundred right—you'll have five hundred free steps before contact. Li Xian, four hundred reserve. I'll hold base."

Li Xian, feeling the main character energy radiating off Mo Wu Tian, just nodded and obeyed. Internally, he was shook: "When did this kid get this scary? Little Beast King who? Mo Wu Tian is the real demonic path ace."

Four demonic squads charged into the fog, following Mo Wu Tian's precise instructions.

The final defense of the bronze hall was being stress-tested. And inside, Fang Yuan was about to attempt the most dangerous craft of his existence.
