Catalina tilted her head. "Someone?" Leon did not speak softly enough, or his sister's ears were simply too sharp. She did not miss that last comment.
He didn't answer that part. He wasn't about to explain that he was basically going to go chasing after a certain troublesome wolf. That was his business.
Catalina seemed to consider something, her golden eyes narrowing just a little. "What if I ordered you, as the new queen, that you can't leave?"
Leon snorted. He thought she was serious for a second. Maybe she was. He met her eyes and gave her a crooked smirk.
"Come on," he said, his voice teasing. "You know I'm a spoiled brat who does whatever he wants. Why bother ordering me? You know I won't listen."
Catalina tried to hold her stern face, but she couldn't help it—her mouth curved into a real smile.
