Leon made a face like Riven had suggested he live in a swamp. "Absolutely not," he declared, flipping his long blond hair over his shoulder dramatically. "Do I look like someone who lives in enemy territory?"
Riven blinked slowly. "Well, that's what this is too, technically."
Leon ignored that.
"I'm not staying with a wolf general," Leon added with his nose in the air.
"I'm a wolf." Riven pointed out.
"Well, you're the exception." Leon sounded pretty pleased with himself when he said that, like it was a compliment.
"Oh wow, I am honoured," Riven said sarcastically, but the dense lion did not get it, but instead looked even more proud! Ugh, this stupid lion!
Riven muttered under his breath. "And you're the one who declared war, remember?"
Leon sniffed. "A necessary political manoeuvre."
Riven gave him a flat look. "It was over land that wasn't even yours."
"It was a matter of pride," Leon snapped back.
