Chapter 19 - Her sister

Rosia leaned back in her chair, stretching her arms with a satisfied sigh. She never thought she would say this, but… she actually enjoyed the work.

The files she sorted, the calls she handled, the meetings she scheduled—it all felt strangely natural. The thought crossed her mind: maybe she should enroll in law school part-time and keep working. It would be tough, but if today had proved anything, it was that she could handle it.

Just as she was getting lost in that thought, a deep, infuriatingly familiar voice interrupted her.

"You look exhausted, little assistant."

Rosia rolled her eyes before she even looked up. Raymond. Of course.

"What do you want?" she asked, not bothering to hide her irritation.

He smirked and leaned against the doorway like he had all the time in the world. "It's almost closing time. You should come have dinner with me."

Rosia blinked, stunned. "Dinner?"
