Mira was seated gracefully on her cushioned chair while her maids busied themselves around her...one brushing through her long hair, another skillfully applying makeup, and a third carefully sorting through the layers of luxurious dresses spread out on a polished rack.
"Her Highness, the Empress Luna, is no longer in the imperial palace. She's not even in the pack territory right now," Mira began, a warm yet calculating smile plastered on her face. "She made sure none of us....none of us concubines were allowed to visit the Alpha Emperor while she was here. And it's not as though he wanted us anyway, not with that bitch Sorayah always clinging to him."
