"I am dying!" Jennifer hollers, but her voice is almost drowned out by the turbulent wind. I heard her because my hearing is exceptional. Well, everything about me is exceptional.
"You are not dying," I say calmly, wind lashing against my skin, leaving behind a sting, but I am used to it. My voice carries over the gusts of wind even without me trying. Wind… Liam… The ache in my chest intensifies.
"How the hell do you even ride this shit?" Jennifer yells again.
"What did she just call me?" Zenyth sneers in my head, flapping more aggressively than before, blowing wind furiously.
I can feel a headache slithering its way up to my temple, "Jennifer, will you please keep your mouth shut? Zenyth isn't throwing you off her back yet, just because you are my aunt."
