The crater in the castle wall still echoed with impact when I dropped down.
Dust billowed out like smoke, and the broken edges of the collapsed wall crumbled under their own weight. For a moment, it looked like nothing could've survived that.
Then the dust moved.
David stepped out slowly, chest heaving, a deep line of blood dripping down his side. His shirt was torn, his gaze shadowed.
His lips curled in disgust.
"You're copying me."
I remained unfazed and stared at the man.
My domain was already lit up with movement. Runes etched into invisible air flickered with quiet sparks. Every layer of my Essence net was now tuned to just one thing.
Repulsion.
I wanted to get it down as fast as possible. This was a great ability to have and I was enjoying using it.
