Opened the door of the elevator.
Damn, could the elevator have gone any slower? Why!
"Yay, Mommy!" she screamed, jumping out of my hands and dashing forward.
God bless my soul, I prayed, as I stepped out of the elevator to face her.
To my surprise, however, fate had other plans. The look of horror on her face that day as she gazed out the glass—the look on my son's face as he did the same, tugging at her frock.
