Chapter 292 - Celia's Devious Nature

Morning sunlight spilled through the thin curtains, washing the room in soft warmth.

The faint scent of sweat and skin lingered in the air.

Alice lay against Isaac's chest, her arms wrapped around him.

Both of them were bare beneath the sheets.

She didn't look angry anymore, just quiet.

"I'm sorry," she muttered, her voice muffled against his shoulder.

Isaac looked down at her. "For what?"

"For last night," she said, still not looking up. "You must've hated how I acted. It's always like this. I end up losing control and—"

"I love you the way you are," Isaac interrupted, grinning faintly. "Besides, the makeup sex was pretty hot."

He expected her to laugh.

Maybe roll her eyes or hit his chest lightly.

But instead, she leaned closer and began licking the small red love bites she'd left on his collarbone the night before to mark her territory.

Isaac blinked, his hand pausing halfway as he reached for her hair.

She didn't say anything.
