The ancient scroll hadn't dropped them into the quiet courtyard of a serene regional outpost. They stood in the dead center of a massive, ruined stone plaza—the broken remains of a Lumia Kingdom regional fortress—surrounded on all sides by an endless, undulating sea of sun-bleached desert dunes.
And the ruins were far from abandoned.
