Yuan Zi's pov
That was not the right way for me to react perhaps I came across as too obvious to affected. However, something inside of me twisted the instant I saw Zhenya talking with that man name Li Wei , laughing and her eyes curving the way they do when she genuinely happy. They way Li Wei looked at her different from he looks at others. This investor is clearly interested in her. It was just a conversation. I told myself.
But that uneasy feeling would not go away. Like a tiny thorn under my skin, it persisted. It should be the end of her class now.
When will she come? I instructed my other assistant to text her since I didn't want to ask her directly. Nothing too overt, just casually. A few minutes later, the response was received:she is one her way
I couldn't explain why my chest tightened. She showed up fifteen minutes later.
Even before I saw her I could smell the subtle scent of her perfume in the breeze. For a moment the world seemed to soften as she wore a light colored dress, her hair tied loosely sunlight catching the tips of her strands.
Today's photoshoot was for new drama. The afternoon light was perfect, golden, warm, almost too beautiful. When it was my finally turn, I stepped in front of the camera. The flashes began. The director called out pose . I followed them automatically, professionally, clam.
But my eyes they found her . She was standing a little away from the crew holding a cup of coffee, quietly watching me .Her gaze wasn't loud . Yet it reached me steady gentle, like a wisher only I could hear. Finally my shoot over. I sat down Zhenya give me a cup of coffee.
"Do you need something else?
"No"
I replied as I take a sip of coffee .
