Sienna's POV
Cold metal bit into my wrists as I pulled against the chains. The Queen had me bound to an old stone altar, the red beam of light shooting up from the center. My blood was already mixed into the ritual, taken while I was unconscious.
"Stop fighting, little Ruby," the Queen said, circling me like a hungry animal. "Your mate is coming. Soon, we'll have all three sacrifices."
My heart raced at the mention of Kieran. "He won't fall for your trap."
The Queen smiled, her beautiful face twisted with evil. "He already has. Love makes fools of even the strongest Alphas."
I looked around desperately. The clearing was filled with Syndicate followers, their silver marks glowing in the moonlight. Zeke stood nearby, his face blank as he watched me struggle.
"Zeke," I called to my brother. "Please. This isn't right."
His eyes flickered with somethingdoubt, maybe. But he turned away.
