"Don't be afraid, I'm here."
With a weight on her back, even through the wool coat, Violet Zimmerman could feel the warm temperature. In her ear was the man's gentle and soft voice, like a trickling stream silently flowing in, making her heart feel warm.
She was no longer afraid, as the fearful emotions had been replaced by tension. Beneath her palm, Violet opened her eyes and peeked through her fingers.
In her sight, the man leaned in the chair, his handsome face slightly raised, focused on the front. The side profile was well-defined, and for some reason, the little bit of tension in Violet's heart instantly disappeared.
Slowly putting her hand down, Violet realized that the young couple next to her was also embraced by the boyfriend.
In that not-so-developed era, with limited exposure, even a bit of thrilling music would make people nervous, especially with the surround sound on the walls of the theater.
