Daxton Lancaster never expected that his own brother would come to plead with him for Violet Zimmerman.
He withdrew the hand supporting Joseph Lancaster's arm, leaned back on the sofa, his lips carrying a subtle smile, and suddenly sneered, "Is that really what you think?"
Facing Daxton's complex emotions, Joseph abruptly raised two fingers.
"Joseph swears to the heavens, he never intended to interfere in the relationship of his elder brother and sister-in-law. Joseph is content just seeing sister-in-law happy, because..."
After saying these two words, Joseph's voice became choked.
"Because Joseph's greatest wish in this life... is to see her happy!"
Daxton looked at his brother's pained expression, though his gaze was firm, and his thin lips pressed tightly.
He squinted his eyes slightly, "I make things difficult for Violet and you feel for her?"
"...Yes!" Joseph admitted frankly.
"Since you care for her, why don't you take her away?"
