Joseph Lancaster has been in a coma for seventy-two hours and has not woken up. After examination, all his physical indicators are normal, perhaps due to being overly tired, so he remains asleep.
When Violet Zimmerman went home to change clothes, she personally made Alcohol Fermented Meatballs and brought them to the hospital. Sitting by the bedside, she gently stirred the soup, talking to her still-sleeping brother-in-law.
"Joseph, wake up. I made you Alcohol Fermented Meatballs. Didn't you say my meatballs are the best? I've brought them for you…"
Violet scooped a meatball to Joseph Lancaster's lips. The man, still in a slumber, breathed evenly without any reaction.
Sighing, Violet took a bite of the meatball herself, put down the lunch box, and leaned down to feed the still-sleeping Joseph Lancaster.
As the four lips met, Violet carefully pushed the meatball from her mouth to his. Just as she was about to pull away, she felt a force holding her back.
