Mabel Quinn initially wanted to ask Kyle Kinston how he got her colleague's phone number, but then she thought, with his capabilities, getting someone's phone number was probably an easy task for him.
"My phone... maybe I left it somewhere, perhaps in the banquet hall. I'll ask my colleagues or the banquet staff later to see if anyone has seen my phone," Mabel said.
"Is that so?" Kyle lowered his eyes slightly and led Mabel into the car first.
"Wait, I haven't paid for my car ride yet," Mabel suddenly remembered.
"Caleb will pay for it," Kyle said.
Only then did Mabel feel relieved. Once inside the car, Kyle asked nonchalantly, "Did anything special happen today?"
Mabel shivered, and the scene of being pinned against the wall by Daniel Harris in the corridor flashed through her mind. "N-no, nothing special," she replied. She didn't know how to tell him about it, especially since she herself felt so confused.
