Alice Conley's first impression of Daxton was actually quite good. They ordered some food and drinks, and while Alice was considering how to tell him that she wasn't really interested in this matchmaking, Daxton opened his mouth first, "Miss Conley, I'm sorry for asking you out this time, but I still want to say that I already have someone I love. This matchmaking is just to ease my parents' concern. If it affects your mood, I can leave now and settle the bill at the front desk."
Alice looked at him in surprise, suddenly feeling that this was all too coincidental.
Her silence made Daxton think she was angry, so he was about to get up and leave. Alice hurriedly said, "Mr. Daxton, you don't need to leave, we can just sit down and have a meal together. I'm actually not interested in this matchmaking either, just... wanting to ease my parents' minds."
