For some reason, all of a sudden, she felt as if her shoulders had become heavier.

Mabel Quinn pressed her lips together slightly, then turned around and headed to the kitchen, where she made a bowl of vegetable and shredded meat noodles for Kyle Kinston.
When she brought the noodles out, she saw Kyle Kinston watching the variety show she had been watching earlier.
"Do you like watching this kind of show?" he asked. The show she was watching was a comedic variety show meant to make the audience laugh. Usually, she didn't watch this type of program, but earlier she just wanted to get him out of her head quickly, so she chose this show.
But... before, it was at most just an image; now, a real person was standing in front of her.
