"Two more games, just two more games and we're good." David Walker hurriedly said. Jeremiah May swiftly finished playing two more games, then directly tossed the phone back to David Walker, found a book on his own, and started reading it.
It was unclear how much time had passed when Jeremiah May looked up and realized that David Walker was no longer in the room.
This guy... did he leave on his own? Jeremiah thought, and couldn't help but stand up and walk out of the room. Just as he reached the living room, he heard David Walker's voice saying repeatedly, "Come, look over here, give me a smile, smile and I'll give you candy."
Immediately afterwards, he saw David Walker in the living room teasing a little kid named Jade, while another small boy several years older was standing respectfully to the side, his expression a bit bewildered.
